Pickled?

It did cross my mind - But I thought under the circumstances I would

use a bit of decorum.

It probably makes you a regular person, like everyone else who's met a celebrity two times.

I had the pleasure of meeting the Prince at a number of charity events over the years. I think it’s fair to say that we had a deep admiration for one another and hit it off immediately. Cut from the same cloth, we used to say over a few too many scotches.

I know the last time we met, the topic of an OBE was discussed - I suppose that’ll never happen now - Gone too soon!

I remember as a junior leader (16 year old gifted future leaders) (british army)on the dreaded "trench week" where I was digging in on a defence exercise through chalk and flint when Prince Michael of Kent accompanied by the Duke (a navy man) jumped into my trench.
I made them a brew in my mess tin. And he actually said "it's # isn't it? But you will be ok fusilier".

As a sort of humorous tribute (though it's not explcitily about Prince Philip), let me re-post this, which I recently tracked down for another thread.

A fictional (sitcom) member of the extended royal family complains about the boredom of his function-attending life. He would rather be having sex.

www.youtube.com...

The clip cuts off before completing the punchline; "Fifty percent of a perfect evening, eh Brenda?"
