Because the govt said so, guess what skippy its not the feds job right now its in the hands of the state to say it was fair, and some people have questions hence multiple audits occurring. Why do you think the fed wants total control of elections (HR1) so they can say its all fair and nobody can challenge it.

I didn't think the democrats were trying to derail the republic in 2000, and those idiots have left the door open now with constant law suits to block an audit where to quote so many democrats over the years, if you have nothing to hide what's the problem?

Consider 2.1 million ballots were cast in that county, so 10% would be over 200K, and Trump only "lost" Arizona by 12K

In the US this happens periodically to elect representatives of the people and then people spend the next couple of years complaining about how the will of the people is not acted on. Is that really any better?

Are you asking me if it's any better that our political critters regularly and frequently trample the rights and will of the people? That they routinely violate both the letter and spirit of the Constitution and the law?

No, I'm pointing out that the democratic element in your system takes the voice of the individual, which they would have in a direct democracy, and places it in the hands of a few, who then violate that trust.

Then we have people with cognitive dissonance who complain about that arrangement, saying that if they could choose for themselves, direct democracy, it would be worse.

We have all heard: "Democracy is 2 wolves and a sheep voting on what is for dinner". In reality it would be 330 million sheep and 150 or so wolves voting on what is for dinner and in that situation the wolves would be forced to eat grass. That is why they don't want that.

Could you imagine how fast congressional term limits would be passed if public initiative existed at the national level in the US?
