FEY (for everyone's information -- just made that up!) -- this is the statement in full from Senator Borrelli regarding adjournment and the audit:
Greetings, The Legislature's investigative authority does not end at Adjourn, Sine Die. Case in point, on December 14, 2020. The Senate Judiciary Committee held a hearing concerning Election Integrity (the Legislature was not in session). Resulting in a Subpoena being issued and served on the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors. That significant action started the Senate Audit of the Maricopa County Election Department 2020 Election.
When the full forensic audit is completed, the findings and results will be presented to the Senate Judiciary Committee (whether we are in Legislative session or not). At that time, the Senate will proceed to determine which actions need to be addressed.
Keep in mind, from the beginning that the audit has been under constant attack, by the vast leftwing media and the democrat party, to discredit the audit and process.
We are anticipating a barrage of continued litigation to block the Senate from obtaining essential data and documents that will hinder the results of the audit.
More to the point of Sine Die. ALL the Legislation such as: 2nd Amendment protections, Election Integrity, Education, Economic Development Bills etc. that has been passed and signed into law DOES NOT become effective until 90 after the Legislature Officially adjourn, Sine Die.
Rest assured, the Arizona Senate will take all necessary steps to ensure elections in Arizona are protected, to include the 2020 and 2022.
Senator Sonny Borrelli
Legislative District 5
Senate Majority Whip
Arizona State Senate
I believe what Borrelli is telling us is that they may very well adjourn Sine Die, in order to allow previously passed legislation to take effect, and of course the still-to-be-passed budget. Refusing to adjourn because of the audit would cause/create other serious issues. And that would be another big fight, which may not reflect well on the audit itself.
But if the Senate does adjourn, Sine Die, they have other means and procedures for carrying on with the business of the audit, both until its conclusion and final report is issued and after.
I will also add (and I'm speaking for myself, not Borrelli or anyone else) that no legislation can be written until AFTER the final report is issued and the Senate knows exactly what they need to correct, improve, eliminate or add. It's not like the final report will come out and the Senate will have a bill all ready to go the next day. They're probably already started, but they need more -- they need specifics -- and it's going to take time.

So some fraud is ok?
Who said it was? But this dog and pony show isn't about 'some fraud', it's about some whiney loser thinking he didn't get his ass kicked and then duping his sycophants into believing his whining.
Now just name calling?
I expected better.

The emails may prove that he discussed other opinions and potential options.
Dude, try to educate yourself, the Senate President is a 'she' and she collaborated with Trump and his team on the audit. It's about Trump. It's in the emails.

You expected better from that.... person?
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
Meanwhile, there are a lot of other people in this thread who are waiting to see what the results of the audit will be. So many questions have been asked and I hope they're all answered. Because wanting the truth about elections will not disenfrancise people for future elections. Just because Democrats keep saying it will does not make it so.

It is about transparency, no matter how you try to spin it.

Which is why it took a FOIA to get the emails with Trump requesting an audit from the Arizona Senate President. Ironic, all that transparency from some whiner who thought he got cheated.

Trump requested an audit in many states.

Who said it was unfair? It's pointless, it won't change anything like Trump seemed to think in his behind the scenes emails with the Arizona Senate President when, according to the other poster, this wasn't about Trump.

Please show us the email(s) where Karen Fann collaboratedvwith Trump and his team, otherwise please take your delusions elsewhere.
Linked earlier. She was speaking/colluding with him since November.

I know that Karen Fann's email were released due to a freedom of information request, but show us where in them she collaborated with Trump or his team, or please take your delusions and childishness elsewhere.
