Please reconsider this parenting technique. Not being harsh, but this is the kind of stuff that got us here with the current young generations.

Edit: To be clear, eating should be a family time and teaching kids skills for coping with boredom is a responsibility and requirement for dealing with society (think about where road-rage comes from). There is also lots of opportunity to interact and learn when they aren't focused on eye-brain feed stimulation.

I agree with you and I do my damndest, however my wife started it and always takes the easy way out giving in to the screaming etc. I'm the evil one.

I understand your struggle. True compassion is doing what is best for others, not what is best for your own feelz. Sometimes I have been blunt with people who take the easy way out and say, "You can spin it however you want, but you love yourself and your own feelings more than you love your kids and their future."

In the end that was the leading cause of the Western Roman Empire, then the dark ages happened. Let's keep our books and remind people how to write. I wrote a letter this morning to a friend and even mailed it. You all should do that too. We're now in this interim lull period and nobody knows what is actually going to happen but I think we or most of us here already see the writing on the wall. Regardless if it happens or not, chance favors the prepared mind.

Assuming Biden & gang makes it into the Oval Office I'm half expecting things to start cooling down, a relax period but in reality it's like a Venus flytrap.
