You're doing fine. I'm not hating/raggin on you at all!! You've made many good points.

It's just that, when I see rivets I automatically think there is another piece of metal of relatively equal thickness on the other side of the rivet (i.e. two pieces). Rivets don't work well any other way because they need to expand behind the piece they're fastening.

In the pictures, you can see there is a flat piece of metal with an exposed edge at the corner, but only one and it is lapped over the top of the other piece. This means the other piece (it's fastened to) is bent. This is why you don't see two cut edges at every corner, but only one. The other edge is rounded indicating a sharp bend. In my opinion, that bend is a flange, or tang, that the rivets on the face go through which fastens the two pieces together.

That's all I'm saying.

this dude found it.

heres a video
He says aliens wouldn't use rivets. I'm not sure why he's talking about aliens in the first place, but I don't know why aliens wouldn't use rivets. Rivets seem like a step up from the scotch tape that held the alleged aliens' "Roswell disc" together.

Another thing that seems strange is putting emf detectors next to it. If there was any source inside of electromagnetic radiation, that metal looks like an enclosure that will act like a faraday cage and block the radiation.

At least that group is just out there having fun, and not talking about politics.

But the spectrum analyzers made for some cool video though, right?

LOL!

P.S. Now if that guy found some evidence of insulation between two layers of metal on that thing, well, that might be more interesting. Like if it was some kind of antenna. And then some kind of a subterranean power source; now wouldn't that be cool!

So if this place is so remote how did this crew get there so easy?

They look like their on a picnic

Soon they'll be some scientific project out there to...check it out.

Until then keep the ouija boards and crystal balls handy!

I posted this before, but I think you should go look at it. The construction of this thing is incredibly simple. 3 sheets of metal, some riveted on brackets inside, probably had it all laid out at home and when they took it to the site just pop riveted the sheets together. Nothing complicated, no welding... the hardest part would be the cuts in the rock. A sheet of 1/8th stainless steel is very strong on its own, wouldn't need anything serious to make it rigid, its already fairly rigid. Go to this link and watch the video. I think anyone with any metal working abilities at all could make this in an afternoon. Granted, I dont know exactly whats inside, but in this video you can see gaps where the panels meet and it looks hollow. If thats the case then it really is just as simple as laying out your plan, bending some brackets, drilling some holes and assemble on site. 3 sheets of steel on top of your jeep, a concrete saw, a level, some silicone and a pop rivet gun. Oh.. and a piece cut into a triangle riveted on top.

If you watch the video posted by EndtheMadnessNow, skip to 8:14 and you can see some road not that far from the monolith. The guy keeps saying "there's no roads out here" and then he tried to measure on Google earth from the monolith to the suspected road and comes up with 1/3 of a mile, which seems like nothing when some people walk miles a day just for the exercise.

Trying to carry those pieces of sheet metal 1/3 of a mile would be harder, but I think sodero has a point, I don't see any reason they couldn't just carry the sheets to the location and then rivet them together there.

I don't know if that's how it was made, but that sounds quite plausible to me. I'm not sure how they made the cuts in the rock and how they powered that tool but there could be several ways to accomplish that.

Go to this link and watch the video.
Maybe because I don't have an instagram account or some other reason, I can't see any video there, but I've seen numerous videos of the monolith already on youtube.

One of Elon Musks stunts. Possibly to promote his starlink internet connectivity.

Him and small group of billionaires who clearly have some sort of obsession with "futuristic" stuff like monorails, space travel, free energy and stuff.

Also, look at the uniforms, like out of a movie.

With Branson of the verge of releasing his scam Virgin Galactic, and Musk on the verge of shooting stuff into space and giving internet to extremely rural areas, it all makes sense.

Thank-you!

I was wondering why after so many days, people are still treating it as a mysterious object of unknown composition and depth into the ground.

Everyone needs to read your post, and their questions (except who did it) will be answered.

Yep, you may well be correct. Maybe easier than I thought. Probably wouldn't have been my first thought on how to build it, but I guess whatever works.

ETA - Heh, Turns out I've been wrong on about every guess on this thing! Thought it was hard to get to; it's not. Thought it was angled edges; doesn't appear to be. Oh well.

Wouldn't make much to make it solid. A bunch of holes in the metal and some really good epoxy poured around it. I've done projects like that . Not going anywhere until the rock breaks.

You don't know how to undo epoxy? WD-40 eats epoxy. Spray it down at the base with a couple of cans of WD-40 and it will be loose in a few days if it is glued down with epoxy.

Well unless aliens went to lowes and baught a pop riveit gun id say its safe to say its man made. metal work is a hobby of mine and you can plainly see they attached the sheet to the inside frame with pop rivets.

If i made this i would not have wanted the pop rivets showing so i would have built the frame with angle iron. Then tack welded the stainess to the frame from the inside. Im guessing whoever built this didnt have any experience with welding or didnt want to spend the 300.00 to buy a welder.

So this means this was a trip to lowes and assembled by someone in their garage who did not do alot of metal work. Its a hobby of mine and takes lots of practice. If you lack the skill pop rivets are a great alternative.
