I'm not sure many people believe in a lockdown anymore. Especially if the people won't obey it. Lockdowns work if you can get 100% participation and eradicate something. There is no way we are going to eradicate this thing. Some things might need to change a bit in areas that have hospital issues, but I think most people aren't advocating a full lockdown much anymore. It honestly is like throwing a rock at a freight train.

And with so much noise on both sides, anything showing that it does help is likewise correlation/causation. There is NO CLEAR PROOF one way or the other.

But you're so convinced you're right, you won't see that. That's the danger with correlation/causation, it gives everyone room to hold to their personal bias. If there was a clear relationship, we'd have a large enough sample size given the entire world doing this that there should be a clear trend one way or the other.

My husband has worked with infectious disease for over 20 years, the primary purpose of a mask is to prevent transmission, not infection. If you are ill, the mask can help you prevent spreading it around. But even then, it's only an aid in this case if you are presymptomatic, not asymptomatic, which means there is a very, very narrow window of time when they may do any good at all since most symptomaticly ill people ought to be staying at home.

Asymptomatic people are in most cases carrying mere fragments of viral RNA that can't make them or anyone else sick because they have the diagnostic test cranked up so sensitive it will detect mere fragments of viral RNA, not even whole virus that can cause the disease process.

Yep. Not only do they retain the outside sh*t you suck in while breathing, but they also cause eye infections. Masks remind me of the medicine ads you see on TV that have 35 side effects that are more undesirable than the one thing you're trying to get rid of or bring down.

I meant that in regards to lockdowns. Masks can help people from catching it, and honestly why shouldn't we take preventative measures.

I support masks, but in no way shape or form lockdowns. This cat is way too far out of the bag for positive impact of any viral spread to be worth the economic impact of a lockdown.

This is great! Your graphs show mask wearing with a cute little arrow....either at the bottom of each curve or on the upper part of a downward slope. You would expect the mask cute arrows would be at the top or in the incline of each graph if your title was correct. But keep up the good work! The desperation and scrambling since the election has been highly entertaining! Next you will tell us the melting hair line of Giuliani is proof the virus is nothing! Bravo!

But human's just are Not that smart most of life is I want NOW .

But sooner or later it will be the real thing .

5 vaxes as It mutates twice a year FOR EVER no way NOT me lololol .
now how long will you hold out against being vaxed ?

There are also different strains coming out which means a vaccine will be just like the flu vaccine where it's a shot in the dark for the guesstimated strain.

I'm not sure what you are trying to say, but if the mask cult was correct then the arrow would be at the peak of the curve, indicating that case numbers dropped after people started wearing masks. At the very least you would see some sort of dent or noticeable impact, but we don't see that in any of the data, because masks do next to nothing to prevent the transmission of a virus which clearly has very effective methods of propagating.

Masks have been invented that kill over 90% of Coronaviruses and influenzas over 7 hours. However, this is a new development so won't be on the shelves just yet.....

I guess we can expect them once Biden is illegitimately sworn in... And after a mandatory nationwide lockdown for 8 weeks.

To be fair, it was Nottinghm Trent Uni scientists that develeoped this and it was only announced on November 9th. Production is expected to start in December and will initially be limited to healthcare staff, transport staff and those in food service (does that mean working with food or working for food?
).

Biden won't have a role in this either way but will be interesting to see which politicians claim credit!

How can you possibly do 100% lock down? It's not even feasible. Sounds like something a 6 six year old would suggest and think would work.

Again you obviously haven't lost a loved one to this disease. Masks aren't handcuffs, they aren't holding down the people.

I can assure you that if I lost someone to coronavirus, I would still feel exactly the same about it. This is no different than when I felt a slight cold in years past. If I had even a runny nose I would avoid visiting my grandmother because she had a bad immune system. If I felt sick before corona and if I feel sick now, I do like normal people have done for decades and I stay home until I'm well.

Why have people forgotten how to act when they're sick?

Ya slight cold.. I can tell you I've never had a friend that was 30 years old have to be revived/paddled in an ER from the cold (And I've had two that happened too both were under 30 no health issues). I didn't have a father have to be intubated for a cold, nor have I ever had a relative or friend have to be intubated for a cold in my 48 years of life. So no, this isn't just like any other cold/flu season.

LSU you can see i agree with you on some points cant you ?
as for mask NO one waring them at home and guess what happens next lol .

I knew form the get go ( My room mate worked as a care Giver in retirement homes while I cant be 100 % sure Guess what Happened He brought it home opps no mask in the House was sick for 5 days . I got a fever lasted maybe a hour BUT again The only proof i have is THE FACT employs tested positive and clients as well .

would be one heck of a coincident if it was only a milder flue don't you think ?
po he still insist it was allergy's as if allergy's every make people run a 101 fever for 4 days along with akes pains and being tired kind sounds like a flue kind of thing o well .

Your post shows that the mask mandates didn’t work. You would need to show if people were actually following those mandates or not. At any rate, I work in the hospitals, and we all are wearing masks all the time, and hospital staff infections reflect something different. We don’t have the same spikes in cases among staff that the general population does, and we, I, actively work with numerous covid patients on the daily. And let me add, it’s very frustrating that due to all the propaganda like this, from folks like you, that when I walk into covid patients rooms, they are not wearing masks, and actively cough and sneeze ON ME while I’m providing patient care. I recently had a patient who had suffered 2 heart attacks due to his covid, coughing blood into a can which he then handed to me, pass me a religious pamphlet on how Jesus would save us from covid. Thank god my masks and ppe have been sufficient to protect me for the last 8 months from the hundreds of encounters I’ve had just like this one.
