Because I don’t agree with his policies or his character based on the lyrics in his songs he’s made millions off of.

Because of Federal election rules, I believe it the Libertarians maintain 2% + of the popular vote, their party's candidates appear automatically on the ballot next time. So ... it is not a wasted vote, and even LESS wasted if they get 2% this year. Go go go JO! (Jo J ... not Joe B).

Hey that's cool with me. Considering how many of us will re-elect our president, every vote for Not Biden is a good vote . Better double check after the third though and make sure it stayed Jo.

I voted Libertarian in '16.

Wasted vote.

ATS never fails to disappoint.

ATS is innocent.

It is the American public that disappoints.

I intend to vote for Jorgensen too.

The only wasted vote in one not cast.

Reaching the FECs 5% threshold is critical to breaking the two party dichotomy. If I remember correctly, Perot was the last to reach 5%, but he ran as an Independent.

To me this is the one and only way we will ever get through the Left/Right Doom loop we are in.

Sadly more people would rather vote against a candidate then for one. More disturbing is throwing out your conscious and your morals to vote in a candidate you do not admire or trust. Very sad just to stick it to your neighbor, your brother, your cousin, your mother, your co-worker your country.

Once we have powered down the RIGHT and the LEFT this country of mostly moderates be whole again.

Ya, Perot..I believe it was the Rs that threatened him, and he quit..very telling!

A fire begins with a spark, good to see people thinking outside the cult of one or the other.

I voted 3rd party last 3 elections, and libertarian in 2016. Jo Jorgensen is a horrible libertarian candidate:

“ After initially endorsing Black Lives Matter, which as an organization is formed by a coalition of activist groups that share political and ideological goals and sometimes funding sources, Jorgensen eventually backtracked and clarified that her remarks are not an endorsement of the organization.

“It is not enough to be passively not racist, we must be actively anti-racist,” wrote Jorgensen on Friday afternoon, adding the Black Lives Matter hashtag to her tweet.

Hours later, after receiving backlash from libertarians and Republicans, Jorgensen backtracked and clarified that “#BlackLivesMatter means standing in solidarity with a mourning black community as we fight together to end qualified immunity, police brutality, sentencing disparities, and the war on drugs.”

“Not support of any ‘organization’ by that name,” added Jorgensen.”

nationalfile.com...

I’m not sure whether Jo flipped due to pressure or didn’t research before posting in the first place, but either way her take was super off-putting for most libertarians I know.

She had a major chance to differentiate herself from both petites and choked by supporting a far left organization and then flip flopping when her supporters called her out. She’s the worst of both parties.

seems to me after the dems lose again, they may have their own version of "third party". I think the liberals will desire to be separated from the progressive socialists. I know a number of dems that have seen their party go so far left as to be unrecognizable. I think most dem presidents of the past would fit under the repubs umbrella more so than the dems. Even O first run had traditional marriage and balanced budget on the menu.

I had the same reaction and thoughts when she made that statement. Up until that point I was firm with wanting to vote for her, but I began to have some doubts and suspicions about her. Especially since everytime I would look into her history I could find anything solid about what she has accomplished, and when I would asked other Libertarians they would just get snarky and link YouTube videos and her website to view her stances on issues.

It's one thing to make statements about what you support and believe, but we should all know by now that just because a person says something doesn't mean they will actually do what they say.

Every politician has tried saying stuff to garner support just to turn around after being elected to continue with the status quo, and people just eat up what Jorgensen says like she's somehow different.

I just finished voting about ten minutes ago, and I still voted for her, but only because I know that it's highly unlikely that she'd win the election. I don't want to see the Libertarian Party go the route of supporting organizations like BLM and Antifa, but if the LP can get enough votes to receive federal funding that would help the party out, and maybe in future elections the Libertarian Party will have some serious candidates.

Now it's just a waiting game to see if the Libertarian Party can get the amount of votes needed for federal funding, and to see if Trump or Biden wins the election.

Although it does seem like Biden is being set to be removed even if he does win the election. If he wins the Republicans are going to hammer him over his Burisma BS and other connections, and attempt to impeach him for everything under the sun just like the Democrats have done with Trump. Furthermore knowing how the DNC behaves they are likely to abandon Biden and leave him to the wolves to make way for Harris or someone else to become the POTUS.

I’ll put it to you like this: I’m heavy into mainstream politics and I don’t know until your post that Jorgensen was a woman.

Would you call yourself and educated voter? If so, how can you be heavy into politics if you don’t even give all the candidates due diligence and look into who they are and what their policies are?

Yes I consider myself an educated voter.
I will answer your question with a musical analogy, because that is my forte.
There are musicians trying to develop absolute pitch recognition. That is the ability to name a note just by hearing it, the same way we look at green and know it’s green.
The science says that if the child doesn’t develop this ability by a certain age, the neurons set like concrete and the brain simply lacks the ability forever.
I do not fault them for wanting the ultimate ear. I fault them for wasting their time. They would be better off improving their relative pitch and working with that instead.
I hope you see my logic.

I can do this with chords (the ones I already know that is)
Is that any good? 😁
