A coalition of scientists, public health officials, and citizens nationwide is uniting in the fight to contain the COVID-19 pandemic. While headway is being made through social distancing efforts, it's clear that a more systematic means of risk assessment and testing is also critical.

We are still trying to do things other people think are crazy but we are super excited about
What is Alphabet? Alphabet is mostly a collection of companies. The largest of which, of course, is Google. This newer Google is a bit slimmed down, with the companies that are pretty far afield of our main internet products contained in Alphabet instead. What do we mean by far afield? Good examples are our health efforts: Life Sciences (that works on the glucose-sensing contact lens), and Calico (focused on longevity). Fundamentally, we believe this allows us more management scale, as we can run things independently that aren’t very related.

Cranky, I was looking through the Twitter feed of the person relaying the 40,000' theory and I saw another thread a little ways down people may find interesting. Apparently the Pope has dropped all of his official titles. There apparently wasn't any fanfare about it, but someone noticed that this year's "Vatican yearbook" simply shows Pope Francis' name, with no titles at all. The most common title they give the Pope that usually accompanied his name in the yearbook is "The Vicar of Jesus Christ."
One theologian calls it "theological barbarism."
Wasn't this guy prophesied to be the last Pope? Pretty crazy.

WASHINGTON DC
A Long-Forgotten, Underground Tunnel in D.C.
Dupont Underground
In 1981, Edgar Bronfman Sr. had sold Seagram's stake in Conoco to DuPont, in exchange for almost 25% of the chemical giant. This stake in DuPont, by 1995, represented about 70% of Seagram's total earnings.

Remember the request to help find UNDERGROUND LAIRS in Aug 2019?
Basically, it’s looking for an indoor shopping mall, a subway system, or a ‘90s first-person shooter map — preferably run by a university or a business that specializes in urban subterranean lairs.
