If you call that disease data then it has some weird symptoms man.
I don't see that as disease data at all. Those are acts of humans.
Casinos have joined the airline industry in asking Congress for emergency financial help as Las Vegas and other tourist destinations take a severe financial hit from the coronavirus outbreak. The requested aid for the casino companies, raised by lobbyists in recent days, could come in the form of a comprehensive bailout package, similar to what lawmakers may provide to airlines, cruise companies and the hospitality industry. Other possibilities include direct cash payments, deferred taxes, or special bankruptcy protections, said two people with knowledge of the conversations, who were not authorized to speak publicly.

Just read this somewhere else, could be some truth in it?
There will be no fans in attendance at WrestleMania 36 as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. WWE announced Monday night that the event will be moved from Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium to the company’s Performance Center Orlando, where only essential personnel will be on hand.

That is enormously important information. Great find. We know that the virus spreads in many different ways so now should we be including food, like the meat exported to Italy?
I had an interesting experience at King Soopers the other day. I went to pick up some shrimp and it wasn't busy so I asked where the shrimp came from. The seafood clerk told me that it came from fish farms in Vietnam.
Why on earth would we be importing farmed shrimp from Vietnam? He told me that the company did extensive testing at the farms to ensure that the shrimp were good. I din't buy any. After all we have much better controls over the safety of our food.
I bet we are going to find a lot of food imports that may possibly be contaminated. Hopefully enough time has elapsed that the virus would die off but then shrimp and the like are frozen so the virus would last longer.

We have a 6 month dwarf rabbit and as I understand, rabbits also cannot throw up. Do you think he's at risk of me, a human giving it to him if I were to catch it and give him food everyday?

We have a 2+ year old Lionhead, I already asked our vets about this regarding rabbits and young kitties at our new kittens' establishing visit (same practice) In their opinions, it's not very likely. It, as with many diseases, can pass back to animals from us, but can be much tougher for humans to make animals sick than it is for animals to make us sick. They did stress to treat them like humans and just don't sneeze on them or cough on them and wash you hands before & after cleaning/interacting if you don't already

I doubt it, the mice in that study were altered to have human like receptors for the virus to bind to instead of normal mouse receptors. They also had alterations to make the disease more severe and easier to view.
Some species like ferrets can easily pass respiratory diseases back and forth with us. Maybe dogs and more so cats but if they test positive its more likely they have virus in their airways from living with a sick person, and not because they are actually sick.
The throwing up issue was important because it shows that the only way for the mice to get stomach contents into the lungs was if they had neurological damage from SARS in the brain while not having it in their lungs. It made the smooth muscles in the esophagus not function correctly and instead of acting like a one way valve the stomach contents went the wrong way and entered the lungs when they were trying to breathe.
Your rabbit should be good.

I wonder when Whole Foods will stop serving food in the open style buffet. When I was last there customers were wearing gloves and masks and the staff were feverishly cleaning shelves and even trash containers.
However they still had loads of prepared, cooked food accessible to the general public. I din't feel very reassured to see just the glass domes that apparently are to protect the food from germs.
The other customers didn't either and no one while I was there stepped one foot near it.

We are now wrapping vegetables in plastic bags. Sad to say not all stores are doing this.
Also what was very common was cooked food was out in the open an you'd pick it up with thongs , those days are over now.
People, if you are reading this: don't buy prepackaged vegetables that are already sliced up for you convenience DON'T
"We are not aware of any reports at this time of human illnesses that suggest COVID-19 can be transmitted by food or food packaging. However, it is always important to follow good hygiene practices (i.e., wash hands and surfaces often, separate raw meat from other foods, cook to the right temperature, and refrigerate foods promptly) when handling or preparing foods."
You can't get it through food
" Experience with SARS and MERS suggest that people are not infected with the virus through food. So, it is unlikely the virus is passed on through food and there is no evidence yet of this happening with COVID-19 (coronavirus) to date.
Coronaviruses need a host (animal or human) to grow in and cannot grow in food. Thorough cooking is expected to kill the virus because we know that a heat treatment of at least 30min at 60ºC is effective with SARS."
Just stop. You’re 100% wrong.
Yes viruses need a host. But survival on inanimate objects from 2-72 hours is typical.
I know, right? Despite even being warned about fomite transmission and oral-fecal transmission by a physician on this board, this person continues to bang on about how safe food is. Well, not all food, all the time depending on who prepares it or who else comes into contact with not only the food, but the packaging, utensils, etc. I just read an article this morning about a New York chef who infected something like 20 people with the virus. (Sorry, can't find the link now but I did read it.)
You have to ask yourself at a certain point if these people are trolls or have a vested interest, as in they own a fast food franchise, etc.
