China is threatening to stop sending all drugs to the US.

That will cause massive deaths for many reasons as they now manufacture most of the drugs for the US.

This is a wakeup call to the US.

The Chinese government is heartless and cruel and will use anything to punish other countries who they feel have disrespected them.

This will cause the US to wake up and start manufacturing their own drugs. Yes, it may make them more expensive, but having them and saving millions of lives in the US is worth it!

It is also a way to try and blame and punish Trump for his early intervention by banning travel to and from China when the outbreak began. I'm sure that if China carries through and withholds all lifesaving drugs they manufacture then the Democrats will blame Trump and not put the blame where it lies on China. The Democrats care more about winning than the lives of the American people, that much is clear with the way they have politicized this and I think will continue to especially if the Chinese withdraw all lifesaving drugs from the US.

This is also a wake up call to the "Sharks". I have seen over and over on Shark Tank that they chastise people for manufacturing in the US and say they won't fund them unless they manufacture off shore. This is the current mindset of companies when it comes to manufacturing. Now we see the clear and present danger in that policy.

This problem we may be facing of losing lifesaving drugs is directly on the hands of those who have sent the manufacture of drugs to a communist country. They know that communists have no checks and balances and will do anything to keep the elite politicians in power and will not hesitate to do something that kills millions to punish those who get in their way.

What is even worse is I expect the Democratic Party to blame Republicans and use this as a political weapon, not thinking about the damage this does to our already (near civil war) divisions in the nation. The blame should rest firmly on the Chinese where it belongs, and not on any, and I mean any US citizen.

Manufacturers should learn a lesson from this. The US should learn a lesson from this. Don't trust communist countries to manufacture lifesaving drugs or anything that is crucial to the lives and health of its citizens.

Now its all coming together. First, several Chinese Scientists along with their IT team are banned from the Canadian National Level IV Bio Hazard Laboratory. That's was in July 2019. That lab has Coronavirus. So did they steal it? No. They probably developed the antidote and are now back in China. safe and secure as not one article of media followup has happened since. WHY?

The Wuhan release. A mistake or simply scripted? Yes, many died but the Chinese have Billions of them. So its plausible.

Let's not forget, it was our corrupt politicians who gave China that power! So when this is all over, it will be time to put the heat on our elected officials to do something about bringing industry back to our nation in which they encouraged and helped to leave.

It's easy to hate China, but where does the blame really lie?

Trump has been sounding the alarm on China for years.

I remember an interview with him from at least 10 years ago, where he said the U.S. is getting screwed in the trade game. He said it was "disgraceful". He also said that politicians and global corporations have turned the U.S. into China's
"whipping boy".

In an article in Xinhua, the state-run media agency that's largely considered the mouthpiece of the party, Beijing bragged about its handling of COVID-19, a virus that originated in the city of Wuhan and has spread quickly around the world, killing nearly 5,000 people and infecting thousands more. The article also claimed that China could impose pharmaceutical export controls which would plunge America into "the mighty sea of coronavirus."

It is days like this that I am supremely glad and happy that we have Trump at the helm.

Like I said a month earlier, all this Chinese coronovirus fears will simply be a wake up call on how dangerously relient we are with china, blame the corporate greed, but something needs to be done, idk what, but something, perhaps a National Security clause that keeps critical manufacturing here in the States.

The "Sleeping Giant" will start ramping up manufacturing and that will be that. They will have a pile of drugs and long term they will lose all the business. They are already going to lose a lot of business. Once this dies down Congress will pass bills that a certain percentage of drugs and medical supplies will have to be manufactured in the US.

Either way, China is screwed big picture.

Not that big of a deal..

The US can just form a new deal with India.

India makes all the same meds, that have been undercutting primary sources of drugs for years.

A $13,000 cancer drug can be got for a couple of thousand through India's medicine industry.

I don't know why the US hasn't ditched China for India already..!!

Precisely, the Chinese coronovirus will getting Big Gov to rethink their deals with china in regards to manufacturing critical items.

The CCP screwed themsevles bigly.

Many of us have been saying this for years that having so much manufacturing in a country like China is a national security issue. First, it damages our supply of needed goods. Second, we transfer intellectual property to them.

People need to wake up. Consumers need to understand that cheaper is not always better and companies need to understand the profits aren't everything either. Government has to make the business environment more friendly for companies to stay in the US. Everyone has to work together.

This is the perfect time for the US to say, screw you China. Totally eliminate corporate taxes for any company that brings like 80% of their manufacturing back to the US and builds manufacturing plants in the heartland of the country that lost their job bases with the globalism of the past 30 years.
