If you ever write a book, I want to buy a copy! I've got a ton of questions, but hardly know where to begin. I don't mean to interrupt and feel free to take whatever time you'd like to answer 'cause I know I'm increasing your workload by asking.

I'm always interested in hearing about your history since in some ways in parallels and in others exceeds down roads I did not to take.

Wow, saint4God, you are a true "Barnabas". Hope I can stay in the Spirit and keep your good regard

I don't like the way I can't see previous posts when I want to reply, so easy to forget what was said; so I'm off to quote and post again.

Pray for me, I'm appreciative of you and praying for you, especially if you do paint that target on your chest. Yikes! As for me, I'm hunkered down in the lead-lined "don't take it personally" bunker.

Certainly will do and thanks for the same for me. I spent a great number of years in the bunker myself. After asking for reinforcements, I got a call on the radio and had to pick it up. Remember 2 Timothy 1:7 "For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline." Love coupled with power is a beautiful thing.

It's not fear of attack, but fear of returning to a carnal attack mode myself that keeps me hunkered; hence the need to stay low, if you catch my meaning.

Power in the form of meekness and more love would be a great pair of attributes to pray for for me, should you need direction

Take a look at my post for today, on the "Question: Why push your faith on others?" thread, if you have time, and you'll probably see exactly what I mean. Would very much like your input, thoughts, participation, and mostly help (teehee).

As for the ones who "resented" part of my previous post about unbelievers not loving believers, I'd like to clarify what I said, since it has been wrested out of my meaning (surprise, surprise):

Surprise, surprise? I see.. I defended unbelievers against your biggotry and you've opted to weave it into 'the anti christian conspiracy'. I read it as it was written and did not deliberately misinterprited as inferred.

Anyway, of course, unbelievers can "love" and feel compassion, since we are created by God Who is love (1 John 4:8). What I intended and feel should have been clear from my context, was that unbelievers can't love believers, because the love of God is not in them, and it is God's Spirit in us they don't love.

reminder:

but they are not required to love us, in fact the unbelieving pretty much are unable to.

hmm.. still can't see where I have taken out of context [and yes I read your whole post].. and your explanation [desperate backtracking] did not explain anything.. you've just thrown your arms up crying persecuted christian again despite your own willingness to persecute. Do what I say not as I do eh? This 'anti christian conspiaracy' is not a get out of jail free card every time you want to belittle 'unbelievers' ..a term that incidently dismisses all other gods/belief systems people might believe in.

And just a word for you who think otherwise, "love" is not just a feeling. It is an act of will for the believer, stemming from love of God, who commands us to love as He does, equally and without prejudicial ratings of whom we find "worthy" of love.

To impress on us the seriousness of this demand, He says, as saint4God quoted, that we are "love (even) our enemies" and points out that if we love only some people, we are falling short of His love.

It is difficult for a human not to "play favorites", hold prejudices, and respect one or some over others. Who would have trouble respecting the president of the USofA over, say, a street person who needs a bath?.

Personally I'd probably hold more respect for the homeless guy.. but the homeless guy hasn't exactly used the planet for his own personal game of chess. If you are talking about love of all humanity regardless of crede.. atheists, agnotic, hindues, buddhists, pagans etc are all just as capable of holding the same ideals as christians.

Unbelievers know how to show respect, look at how the attendees at the Dalai Lama's meetings bow and scrape, and get "holy" in his presence.

No less holier than someone in the late pope's presence.

Yet some unbelievers, who would not think of speaking ill of Buddha, or the Dalai Lama, seem to have little trouble blaspheming God's Name, or Jesus Christ's saving Name, or accusing a Christian of any number of things.

I have news for you.. buddhists are not 'unbelievers'.. they just believe in something other than a christian god.. and buddhism actually celebrates other religions [providing they are based on love and tolerence] so blaspheming would be inconsistant to the philosophy. Buddha actually taught the same princibles Jesus taught.. the difference is he lived 500 years before christ.

(And yes, all you gleeful mud-slingers, not that some "christians" haven't provided you with plenty of juicy dirt with which to smear the name).

ah- clever tactic.. already labelling people mud slingers justincase they bring up crimes of people acting on behalf of christianity.. what are we suppose to pretend it is still a 'pure' religion?

Why is it always that unbelievers may not know or wish to know ANYTHING else about the Bible or the Christian faith, but want to accuse a Christian who confronts them of "judging"?

I was raised on the bible and I was christian.. and you did not righteously 'confront' non believers- you made a [now retracted] sweeping geralisation.. which came off as judgmental.

I have startling news for those who indulge themselves,

We are self indulgent now?:shk:

the days of having that turn us into a shrinking pile of "accused and found guilty"

Actually.. most of the priests were transfered so they'd never have to sit in a courtroom.

jello is coming to a fast end, so it behooves you and your master to get a better line.

Moral immunity. This 'persecuted christian' idea is a fallacy. All groups of people have been persecuted sooner or later [some more than others].. it was not exlusively christians rounded up and exterminated. The jews have had it pretty hard, pagans, africans, women, aborignes, cherokee. etc.. why do some christians demand that religion be respected yet condone the disrespect of others?

GREAT answer, Riley!!

It's funny how this Christian guy wants all "unbelievers" to respect him while he bashes them. Pitiful. How can someone who has a different faith be a non-believer? I think Donkey should check the definition of believer...

I think I am officially done arguing with Christians. I would debate people of other faiths on religion, but sadly I don't know any. All I get are circular arguments, snooty remarks about other faiths, and of course, the reference to the almighty Bible
, as if it was the first holy book ever written. Give me a break.

I think my favorite response Christians give when you ask them about good works or supernatural stuff that happens with people of other faiths, they say it is the Devil perverting the works of Jesus. Satan is a funny character, he's the ultimate boogeyman, even bigger than Al-Qaeda...

Lastly, Donkey, if Jesus is God, why is he called the Son of God? Then again, Osiris and Horus were father and son, yet at the same time the same God, so I guess that's not surprising. But that's only a coincidence, right Donkey...

Lastly, Donkey, if Jesus is God, why is he called the Son of God?

It is a good question, a really good question, since you are mocking while asking, I assume you are aware of the differences between energies of God and essence of God? Thus, if the Son and the Father have the same essence are they not both God?

I have read Webster’s, now how is my reasoning circular? You say my reasoning is flawed, how so? Please point to it.

Also you have failed to answer my questions to you, yet you keep asking them, even when you have been answered. It might seem as if you are only capable of mocking, rather than reasoning, I hope this is not true? Please step up to the plate, and explain yourself.

Citing a similarity between two things does not mean one or both or false, I have a Father and he calls me son, now does that mean everyone who does so is wrong?

I thought this was a rhetorical question, but if you're really looking for the answer then the answer is Christ was trying to get people back to God, not religion. Christianity is about everything Jesus taught us about God including himself. Christianity was not a 'brand new' religion, it was getting the religion back on track. Jesus said he was not here to abolish the law but to fulfill it. Thus he did exemplify the Ten Commandments, reviewed, revisited, explained and identified how they're to work as part of our thinking, not an in-depth situational law study as it came to be.

Saint, you missed my posts when I listed a few examples. I told you about the Christians at the gay parade, threatened with 40+ years in prison, and you said nothing about it. I told you about how they're trying to make certain Bible passages hate speech, again, you said nothing.

I talked, in less detail because I don't know as much about it, about the group (not sure who) calling for Christians to be tortured. Again, nothing. Maybe you should read my other posts so you'll know what I'm talking about. And again, this is your problem because it pertains to you as a Christian.

This is very important information. You are right that it must be talked about. As yes right now it is against Christians, but very soon it will also attack Jews, and Muslims, as they are bound by the same document.
After this it will be free speech in general, we all will have to maintain silence. You see someone else other than the gay's is supporting the this movement against the U.S.

40 years in prison, wow rape is only seven...

Can you provide some support for what you have said?

Also, if you do not attack people they listen better, and do not put so much information in one post. Your laughing faces do not help you much either.

Good job on listing this.

light being
I would say this will happen cheifly when humankind can take a quantum philosophical approach on the occult and the paranormal. Then it will not be occult, simply our higher nature, which will become the norm. I find at our state of evolution that it seems that the majority is still caught up in impulse and fear, I think you should regard your focus and denying these reprehensible characteristics instead of thinking it is soley a conspiracy to one religion that in time has become dogmatic.

Howdy, light

Gee, if people would only become occultists everything would be groovy. Then the truth would be known. We would all be full of light and life. Christians say the same thing, and you attack?

Well, I was and Occult Master, and it is of the devil! That is why I became a Christian. Most people do not want to be involved in Occult because they know it is evil. I was brave and tried it out, whole hog! Well guess what, it is evil on top and it is evil on the bottom, you are a victim of Satan.

I once before asked you if the name Cyprian meant anything to you, and you never answered me. Cyprian was the at one time the world greatest Occultist, far greater that mere Crowley. He did an about face when he saw that the power of cross defeated every power of Satan. So look him up his life, it is available on the net. Unless your, still caught up in impulse and fear.

BTW, you never flew over to my house and raised stones into sons of Abraham, what happened? Is your godhood tired, did god forget?

But Donkey my friend. We ARE full of the light and life. To deny that is denying one's existence, and the existence of God. I don't know why you condemn "light being". We ARE light beings. That is what Jesus and every great master has tried to tell all. I know. I have seen the light. It is strong, and it is good.

We are full of light. ..............ah ....O.k, First when I say light and life, I mean the only source of light and life, God Jesus Christ.

If you are full of light and life and you are the source then tell me why do you die, how did you come into being, why are some people evil?

Die? Which godly spirit that you know actually dies? Perhaps our physical being ceases to exist, however it is an illusion anyway just like everything else we "touch" I aslo never stated I was the source. God is the source of the light, and denying we are all part of him is denying existence. I've stated that once.

Some people are evil for they listen to their mind instead of their soul. The mind is full of what everyone has told him/her. When one is able to make the distinction their "evil" qualities pretty much go away for they are listening to their spirit.

Do you catch the difference between the two of us? It is actully very small, however you are dogmatic in the literal interpretation of the Book. With anything read one must be able to read between the lines, and be able to figure out what has been LEFT OUT of the writings. Many old scrolls and writings were left out of the Bible. Why? That is the greatest mystery of all, and most of the time to further someone's agenda.

In "Matthew" did Jesus state one must "go through" him or "with" him. I have seen both written. In fact, I've seen it written many ways. A matter of semantics? All depends on INTERPRETATION.

Sure, if you read one sentence in a book, it is open to interpretation. Immediately after Jesus says things like this, the people say, "What do you mean?" and he has to explain it a different way. When one reads the whole book, or better still, more than one book in the Bible, it paints a picture that's hard to misinterpret. The Bible isn't "for your opinion", it's the way things are. One only needs to decide whether to accept it as truth above opinion or not accept it and stick to your own opinion.

I have heard the argument too many times about the Bible. Right you are about Jesus having to explain a different way. One cannot say the Bible isn't "for your Opinion". Certainly it is. Unless one has been foiled by the teachings of man. Now, the day one can PROVE to me the literal interpretation of such I will gladly follow. However, the words of Christ and their meanings are what I follow. Remember my friend saint-I said PROVE not the "faith".

I will repeat again. I have seen the "light". It has changed me and my thinking completely. I asked for God's help, and received it in a most unusual way.

My friend, donkey, was upset for "light" called himself God apparently. We are all Godly. Again to deny that is denying one's existence.

Over 2,000 flavors of Christianity coming out of one Book. Sounds like a lot of interpretation to me!!! Many who claim to be Christian have now become judgemental against someone who is different than "their" concept of what should be. Very dangerous and definitely unChristlike. Many have given up on even attempting to save the environment.

Why have we not harnessed the great natural resources that God has give us? Sun, wind, and water. Renewable resources. Instead we pollute and poison us and our young.

See I do accept the Bible. My interpretation. I know that is a terrible thing-to be a FREE THINKER.

Anytime one would care to discuss the book of Liviticus? I wonder what one's wife would say if one told her it is "My way or the highway". Women subservient to men? I'd question that one.

*nods* That's what I meant. We should follow his words, not form his words to fit our opinion.

But, I do want to make mention here...

We are all Godly.

"God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should repent; has he not said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not make it good?" [Numbers 23:19]

So, man is not God. What's to interpret?

Nygdan

Guys, keep in mind that this is a thread about a conspiracy against christianity, not a thread about christianity itself.

Way to Go Nygdan! If their is anything more troubling about discussions, then subject being taken off course I do not know.

So let me try too put us back on course so we do not hit the rocks of ignorance.

Why do non-Christians attack Christians? Why is it that most non-Christians agree with Christian ethics, but attack Christians in their beliefs.
It is, not enough, to be relived of their ethics, one must also destroy the belief they hold. I cannot find a thread on ATS/BTS/PTS, that when Christians talk about something from a Christian point of view, that it is not the subject that is attacked, but the Godliness of Christ and is the Bible true. Why?
I have not seen where anyone attacks Buddhists, Native Americans, Hindu, Islam, Judaism, as a belief system, sure a lot of people may be against Islamics for killing people, but they do not attack them for believing in Allah, with only some recent and rare exceptions. This is to be expected at the West is fighting a War with Islamic terrorists.

I have been discussing the ideas of the existence of demons on one thread, and now we have a huge fight as to weather is the Bible is correct because it say 10 cubits across and 30 cubits around, and this cannot be, it must one or the other….sigh…

On this thread the question is asked, why do people attack Christians and we have fight after fight, of people saying he never existed, he is not God, The Church made Him up to control people, on and on, it never stops. This has been going on for 2000 years, Why? People believe in all kinds of things and no one cares, but believe in Christ and "Off with there heads". People will justify their hatred with the Crusades? As if this represents all Christians, this kind of racist bigotry is unbelievable. I am Christian, I do not support the Crusades, never went on a Crusade, nor am I a Crusader. Not only that but the Crusaders attacked my Church the Eastern Orthodox. So you can take your racist bigotry, and choke on it.

I believe the Christ is God, the Bible is the Word of God, and if you do not like it, then I ask you why do you care? We Christians are commanded to keep the Law of the Land, to be kind, not to kill, rape, steal, fornicate, and all other good laws, and you hate us and attack us for this.

What is seems to me that one man Jesus Christ has managed to divide the world in two, your unmitigated hate seems to only prove the fact that he is God, rather than man. Who says George Washington never existed? No one, the very fact that you raise a finger of hate to Christ, simply goes to show the fact that he is, indeed God.

Now the Conspiracy, few are able to hate others as much as non-Christians hate Christians, why? What force of hate drives them, why does this hate not appear in other places? Who has such hate against Buddha, or Buddhists, Vishnu or Hindus, Satan or Satanists, Human Secularism or Atheists, ( who are the greatest group of killers the world has ever seen, bar none.) Why, is there not such hatred towards them?

I submit, because there is One God, Jesus Christ, and one source of hate, Satan.

Now lets see if anyone can stay on target or will blind hate and rage, cause them to bypass the point?

*raises hand* I know I know! Because Christians are commanded to love everyone so the majority of "haters" have to be non-Christians. Therefore their only united enemy is Christians themselves. It's easy to hate someone who cannot hate you back. There's no risk of retaliation.
