I use to perform at Disneyland in Anaheim CA...there is a huge Asian population in the area.
The day after Thanksgiving is the busiest day of the yr & at that time 75k to 78k people max
& was maxed...first time coming up on the rock stage in Tomorrowland Terrace to see a sea
of people all crammed together beyond what you could see & 99% Asian.
Normally we always had a mix of ethnicity thru out the yr...but that day has always stuck in
me head.
So I am very surprised they have not closed due to the situation.
Cheers

Iger said he would leave Disney last year. I’m sure Star Wars might have hastened that.

However when CEOs for Salesforce, Disney and another big company resign on the same day which coincides with Weinstein being convicted... well I don’t believe in coincidences of that magnitude.

That being said. More virus stuff...

Riots in China as several companies refuse to pay staff or cut their pay, showing up on Twitter, all over WeChat today.

My old company cut everyone’s pay by 50-60% and may furlough some staff. They have about 3000 staff across country.

Many companies are trying to reopen but staff refuse to work, can’t get to work (lockdown or quarantine), are stuck halfway across country or are simply MIA.

A lawyer friend in China is refusing lawsuits from people who got virus at work because he doesn’t want to be disappeared by govt.

All wife’s family still a-ok. Cousins in military signaled they are ok but can’t say more. All are still locked down or Full on quarantined. Many are getting restless and angry with govt even the hardline communist part of her family. My father-in-law, a man of few words unless he’s talking about basketball, got uncharacteristically angry with lockdown and ranted with my wife today for 30 minutes. It sounds cliche but I don’t think I’ve ever been with him where he’s talked more than 10 minutes at a time even while watching sports together.

I don’t think this is over in China and won’t be for a long while.

I hope someone with some sense looks for ways to do good for our country and our people while not letting a good crisis go to waste.

This oughtto scare you.. in good ATS manner.
Our LAST penicillin plant closed here in the US in 2004. Since then.. until this moment.. it is manufactured in : CHINA. They have us by the bahoogies as far as their monopoly on our medical supplies AND drugs.

Not good, however it doesn't scare me as live in Australia and as far as I know we get very little in the way of drugs from China...

yeah lol, might check that again boss........i think its a lot higher than you think......I think its pretty much a world thing

How then to search for such information, I'm struggling to find any real info with a cursory look at least.

Not sure honestly..........herein the US if I type "Percentage of US meds made in China" i get a bunch of pages and i can kind of narrow it down......er.......lol , I would GUESS it works the same there?

I guess if no ones looked at it, i dunno...good question

This wil get worse as they arent able to get paid, and they keep doing so poorly getting food and rations to people who are under quarantine..........

I think China knows this isnt sustainable, they have been able to keep people under the thumb of the government as long as they were able to be relatively well taken care of........

I dont see this continuing when people increasingly realize the gov doesnt care, and its either DO something, or them and their family starve or die from the virus because of mismanagement by the gov....

This could make Hong Kong look like a pizza party......

Nice, looks to be a Model 97 Tournament shotgun. 12 Ga 2 3/4" shells, lead or bismuth only (do NOT shoot steel shot in that shotgun, you'll FUBAR the inside of the barrel)

Check the barrel for obstructions, oil it liberally, and it should be fine. Get thee out to thine local range or your backyard ASAP. A firearm is useless if you haven't practiced with it before actually needing it.

76 to 78K??!!Holy cow.. I went to the Ozzy Bark at the Moon concert in Memphis when Motley Crue had their first opening act for anyone.. like 1984 or 5 ( or somewhere there) and there werent that many folks. LOL!

I really do think we will be seeing a lot of places closed and things done that we havent seen before. This is just an all around new fluid situation that we are learning as we go.

Serial number lookup shows 1927 as the year, so just 7 years shy of 100 years.

That’s a whole other thread. Agree since I’m very familiar with the country.

Not sure they can overthrow govt but may give it a good try.

Facebook canceled developer conference in CA.

Reading some good claims that WHO investigation has CCP minders and are being very well controlled by CCP people. On WeChat, when it goes up on Twitter, I’ll link it here.

That's an outstanding shotgun. You could ask $2500 from a collector for it in that condition easily, $3 grand wouldn't be outrageous depending on what market you're in. Obviously sentimental value is king, so take good care of it.

Weve never agreed more, as political as I am, i never realized how much we actually relied on China for so much, I knew we did to a larger extent than we should, but finding out our MEDS come from a place known to lace kids toys with lead, really irks me.....

All of us need to be independent in our production, its MIND boggling.....it seems the more advanced we become as a species the more ignorant we get.....

Hawaii’s epidemiologist said today the state should be ready to begin testing for the coronavirus next week, while a Senate committee approved $10.5 million in emergency spending to respond to the outbreak.

State officials have been eager to test for COVID-19 for weeks but haven’t been able to because the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention sent defective test kits.
