So much like china the WHO doesn’t want people to panic so that they continue to go to work and make money for the system.

Starting to believe that China has undue influence over WHO.

They need to just call it a pandemic so countries and individuals are aware and act accordingly.

Thousands of travelers who have returned to the United States after recent trips to China are spending nearly half a month behind closed doors, under voluntary self-quarantine, even though they do not pose any immediate coronavirus-related health risk to others.

These are not people sick with COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus. They have had no fever and no cough, and they aren't necessarily being tested for the virus.

Instead, they simply traveled in China within the past few weeks and have since been flagged by health officials at one of the 11 airports nationwide through which all U.S. citizens and their families flying from China are being routed. And now they're being asked to stay home for 14 days — the maximum amount of time it's thought to take to develop the illness after being exposed — limiting physical contact with others as much as possible and watching for symptoms.

How long can the new coronavirus linger on surfaces, anyway? The short answer is, we don't know. But if this new coronavirus resembles other human coronaviruses, such as its "cousins" that cause SARS and MERS, it can stay on surfaces — such as metal, glass or plastic — for as long as nine days, according to a new study. (In comparison, flu viruses can last on surfaces for only about 48 hours.)

You would expect the CDC and other agencies to error on the side of caution since the only have a 'guess' as to how long the incubation period is, or how long it can last on surfaces.
Thousands of people in the US have been 'asked' to self-quarantine. My gut tells me if it's thousands, there is sure to be a few that won't feel it's any big deal to run to their local convenience store for a six pack.
It shouldn't be long now before we find out just how big of a threat this is going to be.
If I get Covid 19 I won't be able to share the experience, so let me go on record now:

Latest was they had contracted the virus and were being taken to hospital. Both looked fine and healthy except a cough.

Upon leaving the ship they went to a hospital, scans were given and they now both have a cold a flu and covid19 and pneumonia.

They’ve been moved out of nowhere from a good hospital with good quality care, to a hospital with no treatment and not in good standards.

The whole thing seems strange from showing to symptoms to this In a few days.

Thanks for posting this. I've been wondering what happened! What they are saying doesn't sound good. It seems like David got sick pretty quickly. I don't understand why they were moved from a good hospital to one that seems..... not so great but sounds like what regular hospitals there are like. No private showers. A whole day goes by and they've gotten no treatment? No one speaks English? I would really be freaking out too. It's like they were brought there to die.

I don’t know what the deal is with those released from quarantine but our friend’s wife was released on the 18th from Travis AFB, was back in her home state on the 19th and refuses to say anything to us about quarantine other than it was nice and comfortable. She wouldn’t say anything else.

Tin foil hat says she signed a NDA or gag order type document. It’s the only thing I can think of. Maybe I’m wrong or biased though.

Everything she’s said about Wuhan we’ve already covered here. She feels that the number of infected is much much higher than reported but wouldn’t give us a guess even. When I asked her about 1 million infected she said she could believe it.

Wish she had more info.

I won’t post links but there are 3 suicide videos from Hubei on Twitter. They were all circulating on WeChat in the last 24-36 hrs per the wife.

Hong Kong has taken about 100 of its residents back from the Diamond Princess cruise ship. They will be re-examined in Hong Kong, as well as the 106 returned on the 20th charter plane on 20th, and will be monitored for two weeks in isolation.
According to the Hong Kong government, 66 of Hong Kong's citizens on board the Diamond Princess have been infected so far.

so, this paper gives a third option to ketsuko's (inaccurate) analysis:...

it says that the viral REinfection occurs because after the initial infection, and after the body has successfully produced it's antibodies, the virus can come back in and attack the immune system directly by using the antibodies to mediate entry into the immunoglobulin cells.... thus disabling the body's immunity to the virus and allowing the viral infection to penetrate more deeply the second time around.

i had never heard of this, and it is an excellent explanation of why viral REinfection is more deadly than the initial infection.

3 male professors from Wuhan's Huazhong University of Science and Technology have died in the epidemic. The three professors had no more than 20 days from the onset of symptoms and confirmed infection to their death.
Ages were 54, 62, 86.

According that numbers and having in mind the explanation of numbers in Japan, SK and all the rest i still think that we are not yet entering the Pandemia status...
Hoewever i still giving an eyebrow raise everytime i read about those iranian cases....hummmm...about Iran its my conviction that is more than meets the eye...???
BTW, my brother in law he's a recognized immunologist here on my region...he is a man of very few words, cold and low profile person, wich i really admire.
Few days ago when having a beer together , and not doing any "great waves" about this, he only said these few words:

Information coming out of Italy, SK and now US doesn’t fill me with confidence.

Italy now 25 cases, still 1 death. Just reported on Twitter.

We're at the turning point. If it treats S. Korea, Japan, Iran and Italy like it's treating China, I think it's time to really buckle in for a bumpy ride.

We really will know a lot more in the next week or so. I know we've been saying that, but this time I think we're there.

Update on the number in the UK that 8 of the 9 cases in the UK recovered this was dated 15/02/2020. www.bbc.co.uk...

However, the numbers and cases in the UK have been pretty hard to keep a track of as now the advise by the PH£ (Public Health England) is those living in England are to self-isolate at home and away from any contact. We have a non emergency line in the UK which is the NHS 111 this is used for non-emergency matters and people are advised to those this line for advise on symptoms. Of course if the symptoms are severe you'd ring 999 emergency number or 111 operator will signpost the call and send out a ambulance.

It’s still real.. it was a trial run the first 30 days, I give the Na sayers credit, for thinking it was the Ebola, false flag, or the h1n1 or the mers or sars but this one is real.. still got my beer, but it’s still a real doom burger.
