Was it here that some one hinted that the Hospital ships were going to be used as Jailer ships? Seem about right if one is going to New York and the other is going to LA. I personally thought that the Mercy was heading to Seattle or San Francisco, but LA? hum ...

Those ships are way more versatile then just as a floating hospital. Did you know that the Comfort is part of the Continuance of Government plan? Health and comfort, medical supplemental rooms, command and control, and a few other things (like as a jailer ship) are what these ships can be converted to quickly. My first time being on one blew my mind as to what those ships can do, they are awesome is both size and capabilities.
