Hi CanadianMason,
Thank you for your informed reply, just one query, could the horned bull be anything to do with "Apis"?

The person responsible for the assassination of Arch-duke Ferdinand which triggered W.W.1. had the code name of "APIS" who was undoubtedly involved in fringe secret societies.

Yes, Apis was the son of Hathor, if I recall correctly, and the grandson of Ra and Nut. Hathor is linked to Sirius as the Lady or Sovereign of Stars because she was considered a sky goddess in one of her aspects, her birthday celebrated at the beginning of the innundation of the Nile. Being a son of Hathor, Apis would thereby also be linked to Sirius through his mother, right?

The original Egyptian name for Apis was Hapi or Hep but was not associated with the actual god named Hapi/Hep who was associated with the innundation of the Nile. Apis was more of a representative of monarchy, or the concept of the so-called 'Divine Right to Rule'. No Apis, no King. Apis underscored the King's Power. Without Apis's 'blessing', no Divine/Kingly Power. Apis was the Power behind the Throne. Apis could 'giveth' that Power.

The aspect of Apis to bestow Divine and Monarchical Power upon a chosen individual, was it conferred upon him by Hathor, his mother, who WAS associated with Sirius? If you put it all together, then maybe monarchical power is somehow associated with Sirius? I don't know but.....mind blowing stuff right there, eh?

Of course, I'm just spitballing here.

Anyways....

Apis

Nice connection there between his code name and how he triggered WWI. I wonder why he took that moniker? Could it be because he saw himself as the incarnation of Apis, and had some sort of delusional, self-aggrandaizing belief that allowed him to justify the murder of a monarch he had in his crosshairs? Apis 'giveth' and he 'taketh away' sort of thing.

Sorry if I appear rushed in my writing, because... I am a bit scatter brained today ....

Haha! In other words, a concerted effort to scrape the BS off the bones. Once we do that, only the bare bones remain.

Hi CanadianMason,
Thank you for your reply, actually Dragutin Dimitijevic had two code names Apis and "The BEE", at first i thought this was because in latin Apis means bee, but there are other explanations which mirror your analysis, the "Throne Name of an ancient Egyptian Pharaoh was He of the Sedge and the Bee:-
Throne name (prenomen)
Main article: Prenomen (Ancient Egypt)
Praenomen of the Cartouche of Thutmose II preceded by Sedge and Bee symbols, Temple of Hatshepsut, Luxor
M23
"The pharaoh's throne name, the first of the two names written inside a cartouche, and usually accompanied the title nsw-bity (nsw(t)-bjt(j)), traditionally interpreted as "[He] of sedge [and] bee" and often translated for convenience as "King of Upper and of Lower Egypt", with the sedge and bee being symbols for Upper and Lower Egypt, respectively,[7][8] although recent research has thrown this interpretation into doubt.[9][10]
The epithet nb tꜣwy, "Lord of the Two Lands", referring to valley and delta regions of Egypt, often occurs as well."
en.wikipedia.org...(prenomen)

He's a New Kingdom/Ptolemaic era deity, so fairly late in Egyptian history. Earlier references show him as the son of Bat, a cow goddess that eventually merges with Hathor.

Hathor is linked to Sirius

Not really. Sirius is Sopdet, a different goddess. Sopdet gets conflated with Isis late in Egyptian history... not Hathor. en.wikipedia.org...

as the Lady or Sovereign of Stars because she was considered a sky goddess in one of her aspects, her birthday celebrated at the beginning of the innundation of the Nile.

The Feast of Ankhet marks the beginning of the rising of the Nile. It's on July 25/26. Hathor's birthday is the 29th of August, a month after the inundation begins: www.panhistoria.com...

Being a son of Hathor, Apis would thereby also be linked to Sirius through his mother, right?

The aspect of Apis to bestow Divine and Monarchical Power upon a chosen individual, was it conferred upon him by Hathor, his mother, who WAS associated with Sirius?

Actually, it's Horus, the son of Osiris, who gives kingship. The Apis bull (late in Egyptian history) represented kingly strength, generosity, and power but did not confer kingship. The king never becomes Apis and the death of the Apis bull does not change things for the king. Kings are referred to as Horus and they take Horus names (the title "strong bull of his mother" is an occasional title and is occasionally part of the five royal names... but is not in the same class as the Horus Name or Golden Horus Name.

I wonder what would happen if you put ten people in a room together who purported to be scholars or experts on Ancient Egypt, and allowed them all to debate against each other?

I'm pretty sure one or two might cite Panhistoria and Wikipedia as authoritative sources; and, a few others might argue against the legitimacy of those sources.

In the end, everyone in the debate would undoubtedly declare victory.

Let's just keep on scraping all that BS off the bone 'til we get to the truth!

Like I said above, I was just spitballing.

I'm the creative type.

The worship of Apis seems to go back to the 1st dynastic period, long before the Greeks invaded Egypt in any case, as shown below:-

There is little doubt, that W.W.1. changed history up to the present day, and a lot of the strange beliefs regarding the stars and numerology were used in this war, that didn't work as we had another war 20 years later.
Two bullets fired on a Sarajevo street on a sunny June morning in 1914 set in motion a series of events that shaped the world we live in today, W.W.1., W.W.2., the Cold War, and our difficulties in the Middle East all trace their origin to the gunshots that interrupted that summer day, 28th June 1914, Saint Vitus Day.
The victims, Arch-duke Ferdinand, on his wedding anniversary, heir to the throne of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and his wife Sophie were shot by 19 year old Gavrilo Princip who burned with the fire of Slavic nationalism, he envisioned the death of the Arch-duke as the key that would unlock the shackles binding his people to the Austro_Hungarian Empire. He was well picked as most of the conspirators were dying from TB, therefore didn't mind being martyers, very clever Mr Dimitrijevic and the probably metaphysical Black Hand Society.

Serbia figured prominently in the plot, providing the guns, ammunition and training that made the assassination possible, they may also have seen a symbolic connectionto the Battle of Kosovo Poyle, so in theory used that date for this auspicious event in history.
Gavrilo Princip become an unwitting "Pied Piper", as this assassination precipitated the Austro-Hungarian declaration of war against Serbia and started the involuntary dance of death or Saint Vitus Dance of W.W.1.
So just the people involved in strange beliefs, changed the course of history, and is the area we need to examine, as these people are highly placed.
Now Mr. Dimitrijevic was well aware that the assassination would probably cause war in Europe, therefore was evil intent, politicians knew all over the world that this was the case, Otto Von Bismarck has a famous quote before he died in 1898, which is "If there is ever another war in Europe, it will come out of some damned silly thing in the Balkans".

It doesn't take a great deal of study to think that many of the events regarding "VIDOVDAN" were intentional:-

"Vidovdan, 15 June Julian (equivalent to 28 June Gregorian in the 20th and 21st centuries), is considered a date of special importance to ethnic Serbs, with the following events taking place on Vidovdan, but are expressed here in the Gregorian calendar:

1389: the Ottoman Empire fought[2][3][4][5][6][7] the Serbian army in the Battle of Kosovo on the Kosovo field. Both Sultan Murad and Prince Lazar were slain in battle. The Kosovo Myth became important in forming Serbian identity.[8]
1876: Serbian declaration of war against the Ottoman Empire (Serbian–Ottoman War (1876–1878)).[citation needed]
1914: the assassination of the Austro-Hungarian crown prince, Franz Ferdinand by Gavrilo Princip; triggers the First World War. It was a coincidence that the archduke visited Sarajevo on that day, but the assassination falling on Vidovdan added nationalist symbolism to the event.[9]
1916: Radomir Vešović and other notable Montenegrin officers planned an uprising in Montenegro, against the Austro-Hungarian occupying forces.[10]
1919: the Treaty of Versailles is signed ending World War I.[11][dubious – discuss]
1921: the Serbian King Alexander I proclaims the new Constitution of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes, known thereafter as the Vidovdan Constitution (Vidovdanski ustav).[12]
1948: the Cominform publishes, on the initiative of its Soviet delegates Zhdanov, Malenkov and Suslov, in a "Resolution on the State of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia"[13] their condemnation of the Yugoslavian communist leaders – this event is seen as the turning point that marks the final split between Stalin's Soviet Union and Tito's Yugoslavia. The date was carefully chosen by the Soviets as it was an important anniversary.[14]
1989: on the 600th anniversary of the battle of Kosovo, Serbian leader Slobodan Milošević delivers the Gazimestan speech on the site of the historic battle.[15]
1990: an amendment is brought to the Constitution of Croatia changing the status of Serbs from constituent people (konstitutivni narod) of the Croatian nation to national minority.[citation needed]
2001: Slobodan Milošević is deported to the ICTY to stand trial.[16]
2006: Montenegro is announced as the 192nd member state of the United Nations.[17]
2008: the inaugural meeting of the Community Assembly of Kosovo and Metohija takes place.[18]
2018: the formal reopening of the National Museum of Serbia in Belgrade, after 15 years of renovation.[19]"
en.wikipedia.org...
To recap.
We know that a lot of highly placed people have hermetic beliefs which involves alleged "Astrology Magic Rituals" with Sirius and Alnilam.
We know that some groups are in contact with each other, so at some level we are controlled by their beliefs.
However i don't feel all groups are joined, as they do fight, finding out who is who can be difficult as they all use the same stars.
I think by aligning the stars, they feel that this can help their actions in trying to get the gods on their side, my impression is that they feel that Sirius and Alnilam is "Heaven".
Sometimes they align the stars to acts of murder, assassination and war, but at other times align constitutions, independence, special buildings and sporting events.
It may be that this is a separate secret society, that only involve themselves with sport and buildings but i cant be sure.
These groups are very powerful, and it would seem that they run most countries in the world.
There has been a lot said about Freemasonry on many threads, however i feel that the 3 degrees are not involved, but can be a clearing house for some members to join fringe metaphysical societies unattached to the main body.
Below can be found the notes taken at the trial of the conspirators regarding the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand, and fringe masons are mentioned, whether this is the truth under oath, i can not say:-

It would be really cool to see a diagram or animation of some kind clearly illustrating the physical relationship between Earth and the Sirius star during these moments in history. The diagrams you have shared so far are visually unhelpful.

Hi TzarChasm,
I'm not the sharpest tool in the box regarding computers, i did learn learn late in my life, however showing an animated picture may be possible in the coming weeks as Purplemer met me in London when he was visiting relatives and i gave him some astronomy software.
I tend to only show graphs in black and white as it takes less ink and i would be running out all the time, and being badly disabled, i'm on limited budget!

The least confusing is midnight day markers when either Sirius or Alnilam is on an angle, the principle agreement of the "Treaty of Versailles" was with Germany ending war which happened exactly five years after the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand on 28th June 1919.
This must be a topic, when the trigger for war and ending war happens on same day which has serious implications:-
"Treaty of Versailles.
Signed 28 June 1919[2]
Location Hall of Mirrors in the Palace of Versailles, Paris, France[3]

The Treaty of Versailles (French: Traité de Versailles) was the most important of the peace treaties that brought World War I to an end. The Treaty ended the state of war between Germany and the Allied Powers. It was signed on 28 June 1919 in Versailles, exactly five years after the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, which had directly led to the war. The other Central Powers on the German side signed separate treaties.[6] Although the armistice, signed on 11 November 1918, ended the actual fighting, it took six months of Allied negotiations at the Paris Peace Conference to conclude the peace treaty. The treaty was registered by the Secretariat of the League of Nations on 21 October 1919."
en.wikipedia.org...

Midnight day marker at location was used as Alnilam and Mars associated with war was on the Nadir within one degree, so location was chosen carefully for alignment.
Short video below showing how the constellation of Orion is associated with Osiris, and Alnilam is the middle star of this:-

Depends on who you pick and what kind of experts.

I know a number of Egyptologists and grad students in Egyptology. You're not going to get much of a debate... until it turns to minutae (like whether one can say definitively that Anubis is on the handle of a number of magical knives rather than another jackal-headed god.)

Now... if you pitted them against someone who's self-taught, then sure. The self-taught person's going to be all over the place.

Egyptologists tends to use very solid references -- because if they don't (in papers and publications) they'll get taken to task very harshly by other scholars.

I'm lazy and use Wikipedia because most people don't have access to Hornung's books or even have Allen or Teeter or any of the other relevant scholars on their bookshelves. Some of the material is in German or French, languages that most English speakers here don't read.

Nope. Didn't get it mixed up.

Apis was not a very important deity (compared to Osiris, Isis, Ptah, Thoth, Hathor tc.) The early ties are somewhat speculative -- he's regional (initially local to Memphis, not national) and more prominent in the New Kingdom and in Ptolemaic eras, of course, he gets mixed up with Serapis. As your second link said, other bull cults also existed (and cattle cults seem to have been important in pre-literate times).

However, the king is associated with Horus and was identified as Horus (not Apis.) The bull didn't transfer power and there is no bull name-- unlike the Horus name, which is one of the five names the king assumed on ascension of the throne. (if you check Ramesses II, for example, you see he has a Horus name and a Golden Horus name: en.wikipedia.org... This is typical of pharaohs from the Old Kingdom onward... see Djoser, for example)

"Strong bull of his mother" is only occasionally taken as a pharonic name.

It is my observation that the poster you responded to has a hard time with discerning what are facts. Seems to have a set of ideas that rarely match what many of the rest of us here in these threads perceive as reality. You are very nice to answer honestly as it helps other neutral people to get to decide for themselves with a balance of both sides opinion for comparison. When one side repeatedly gets it wrong and uses emotional response to replace cognitive reasoning, those not a part of the dissonance sense a problem like seeing rain across the street moving toward you.

And I will gladly apologize if this is an error on my part.

The parts that I watched about Egypt weren't correct. Sirius was neither Isis nor Osiris... it was Sopdet: en.wikipedia.org...

The usage of "dog" is incorrect because "dog days" and "dogging someone/something" is English only and fairly recent usage ... from about 1700 or thereabouts: www.etymonline.com...

I'm sure there are other problems, but the delivery was tiresome and the parts that I saw were demonstrably incorrect that i gave up on it after watching less than half.

Hi Byrd,
By your link:-
"Sopdet is the ancient Egyptian name of the star Sirius and its personification as an Egyptian goddess. Known to the Greeks as Sothis, she was conflated with Isis as a goddess and Anubis as a god."
During the Period of Egyptian mythology that lasted 3,000 years, there were blending of god and goddesses of Egypt, but Isis was associated with Sirius, and when the Greeks invaded, they also blended gods and goddesses with Egyptian ones, Osiris become Serapis etc. etc.
The "Dog Days of Summer" are from ancient Roman and Greek times:-
