Fin and Bug, you made me laugh.

Finally getting some groceries tomorrow, getting to the bank and getting a prescription. It will be great to see my friend again!

Oh...

That was beautiful, and also sad.

Your dad must have been a good man, because you are also so good

Time for more kitty pics!

Yesterday, I took the kitties out into the front yard for their first opportunity to wander about in the open air, on cool green grass. They didn't know what to make of the grass at first but were soon walking around a little -- rather unsteadily, as they are only 3 weeks old.
So, to begin, here's an Itteh Bitteh Badass Kitteh and his family:

After a short while they began to home in on Katka, their Momma. I like the way she has a protective paw covering one:

She waited patiently while they got themselves sorted into line:

In just a few moments they were all settled:

Here's Corky. He's the only surviving kitten from Katka's first litter (15th May last year). It looks almost like he's jumping, but he's actually lying on the grass:

Corky is now maturing and as part of that process, his black fur is changing color to a chocolatey brown. It's easier to see in this pic:

He is now as big as his Momma, but he's really just a big kitten. An hour after this pic, he went back inside, curled up in my laundry basket and went to sleep. Everyone say, "Awwww, he's soooo cute..."

So, that's all on the kitty front for now. They're all doing fine, I'm glad to say. As for me, I'm doing okay as well. No real complaints.

Yes, my Dad was a good man. We shared a love for the ocean, books, music, humor...

He lived a wonderful and long life of which I am grateful for.

Awwwwww! Sp precious!!!! The kitty pics made my day Mike and seeing you again.

It's a lovely Spring day and I'm finally going out with my friend today to run errands and get some damned groceries. Wonder if they have hamburg, toilet paper or garbage bags. Wonder how many empty shelves there will be.

I'm glad you enjoyed the pics, 'Raine.
I think we can all benefit from a little light distraction in these troubled times.

So, you've had people panic-buying there? Hopefully they've bought their fill by now and you can do some normal shopping! It's not been an issue where I live. Folks just buy what they normally need and so there is plenty to go round. But I live out in the country and people tend to be a bit more laid back about things. In Prague, however, there has been some panic buying reported -- with toilet paper being a main item!

There's just no accounting for some people...

DAAAAAWWWWWWW, oh man, I do not need more pint-sized cuteness excuses in my life, we just adopted two kittens last month and we really don't need more. But that is SO FREAKING CUTE beyond words that I could be easily coerced into getting a third. Right now. This instant. Baby animals are kinda my Kryptonite. Especially fluffy ones (ever seen a baby bird? They're pretty fugly critters until the feathers come in, but they're so fugly looking that you feel sorry for them and love on 'em)

If there wasn't an ocean and half of two continents between us, I'd be over in a flash to cuddle & mush on the little black floofballs and sound like a complete dork the entire time

You sound like me when I was younger. It was dangerous having me in a pet store because I always wanted to come home with some new pet. Often I did. Oh and I get it about the baby birds!

I always had two or three cats, most were rescues.

Beautiful kittens! I miss the litters of kittens we used to have growing up in my family. Adorable creatures.

I know just what you mean and I'm the same. I'm a sucker for cute little animals (including birds) and wish that I didn't have to eventually give these kittens away. But I can't really manage four more adult cats along with Katka and Corky.

As for cuddling and mushing on the "little black floofballs" -- you'd be very welcome any time.
I'm hoping that a couple of the local families with kids will want to take on one or two each once they've had a chance to fuss over them. The word has already gotten around in the village that the kitties have arrived, so if I can put up a little poster in our one and only shop, that might do the trick.

Meanwhile, I have several more weeks with them, at least. They have to stay until they're fully weaned and preferably have had their shots.

But I tell ya, if kittens would just stay kittens, I'd be happy to have swarms of them here! They're just soooo gorgeous!

Just poking my masked face in to say G'day !😷

Hope all are healthy and well stocked with dunny paper !

Nice to see JustMike back with us and busy with kittehs. 👍

Linda is well and happy. I have just put together an exercise bike for her ongoing rehab, which I can also use
( if I can get myself motivated!).

We have been doing a lot more home cooking due to lockdown, which is a plus as it is so much better than take aways and pre-packaged pap !

How are you and Mark doing Raine ?
