Hahaha!

I love frogs, but not enough to kiss them. Then again, if I knew a prince was trapped in the frog I would.

A really nice morning coffee going on.

I was ventilating my nightly farts out of the window, and had a conversation with a bird.

The bird was like "Tweet! tweet! tweet!" like it had gone insane.

I asked "What's up with all the noise making, little animal?"

And the bird just stopped doing it

Okay i feel slightly bad. Like i had interfered with some kind of bird routines here.

What if i lie to you, give you a frog and tell there is a prince trapped inside?

But nothing happens as you kiss it.

Would you be angry at me, or just let it go because of my amusement due to you being a frog-kisser?

Hmmm, if you tricked me with the frog, I would hide all your beers until I could drink them myself or share with others. So I feel confident that you won't lie to me.

Well, we spent the last couple of years debating the investment, and finally decided that it would be worth it to buy a home gym. The midwest meat and potatoes diet, plus beer, beer everywhere around here added a few pounds, and lost some muscle, lol. Even the kids are moderately interested in using it, the younger one in particular. She wants to build 6-pack abs and have "meaty biceps on my noodle arms" (lmfao) The older one, not quite as interested, but expressed interest in increasing her endurance.

We spent yesterday afternoon getting it put together after it was delivered, and I spent a good clip of the evening shooing the kittens off it. Not the seat pads, they scaled the damn thing straight to the top like mountaineers, and even problem solved to get to the topmost bar (one stood on the other to get up high enough to nose around, then they switched off so the other could do the same, the smart little bastards)

Right now, I'm mulling over whether to put in a little strength training time, or finish sealing the second deck table we bought. it's going to come indoors and be the dining room table, we've been using the first one all winter (we bring it in in the winter) and found we really prefer it over "normal" dining tables. So we figured we might as well buy a second one, stain it to a color we'd like for indoors, and seal it up. Almost done with the sealing, I prefer to do that when it's really low humidity out (avoids trapping moisture under the layers) so I've been timing the layers with the weather forecasts. I might have a shot today if the rain stays south of us, otherwise I think tomorrow looks good for it.

Haha, mountaineer kittens.
Hope you get your investments worth. Most people get all geared up and psyched and use it for a while, then it ends up unused in a basement. LOL

Hubby used to be a pretty dedicated gym nut pre-kids, so if anyone's going to be making sure we get our money's worth out of it, he will

Right now, its set up in the spare bedroom/"kitten room" downstairs, since the basement gets pretty damp in the summer. This room is the most temperature & humidity stable one in the house, it should be fine in there. We DID debate putting it in the basement with a bigger dehumidifier, but thought it would be too easy to forget it's down there, and thus decided to set it up where we can see it easily and be reminded to use it.

I'll see about getting some new photos tonight, it's a tank cleaning day (and a new plant get planted!) so if nothing else, the sand will be clean, lol.
I've also got to finish sealing that table up while it's warmer & breezy, I didn't do it yesterday -- we ended up going to the aquarium shop for the aforementioned plant and some frozen worms for the fish (eating like kings, these guys) And then we just drove around for a bit, and eventually hit up an ice cream shop for cones. Basically, other than using the gym yesterday, not much got accomplished off the (albeit very short) To Do list

LOL!

My friend is too scared to go out, but says we'll have to get out soon. With or without her, I need to get food in this house, have to go to the bank and get prescriptions soon. All this sitting around day after day after day isn't good for me. Mark, the cat and I sleep a lot lately. If I were any more relaxed, I'd be dead.

We're planning on it, but we haven't gotten them yet. Right now, the original 10 gallon tank is still running with the sand substrate, and one lone cluster of very slow-growing Octo grass -- it's really cold water slowing the growth, we need to get another heater for frogs.

And I think the younger kid has finally talked hubs, who's been extremely reluctant to consider it, into getting her a snake (one of her dream pets after Bearded Dragons, kid loves reptiles) She's got a soft spot for corn snakes and pythons, guess which one we won't consider for her? XD She may wake up to an interesting surprise next Christmas. Now that hubs is in agreement with a frog tank, that's off the Christmas possibilities list, and the snake is on it now.

Switching gears, I didn't start sealing the rest of the table, I put another coat of stain on the legs. The top itself is done, has been done for days, the legs are what I've been trying to work on. They have two coats of stain on now, and that'll probably do. In a couple of hours, I can put one of the 3 coats of seal on, maybe two today if drying time allows. But I figure tomorrow it'll be completely finished and the legs'll just have to cure for a day before it can be assembled.
Not bad for a $200 wooden deck table and about $40 worth of stain, seal, and various supplies. Total bargain compared to the table we looked at a few months ago in a furniture store, that one ran $700 just for the table, the chairs were $150 each, OUCH -- expensive set (well, to me anyway) We'll probably invest in the matching wood deck chairs later this year and I'll have to stain and seal them to match, too. Those are still costly, I think they were $90 each, but it's worthwhile. About $600 spent as opposed to over twice that on a "proper" dining set, I like the DIY jazz-it-up route much more

Yeah friend. Please feel confident that i won't lie to you. Because i won't lie to you. I have nothing to gain via online lies. Nothing to gain via real life lies either but it is harder there. But achievable. Lying is a trait that requires very good memory and i, umm, what was i saying here, i forgot!

Interesting kid
(interesting in a good way)

So you referred to the kid as "her" so what is going on here? She has not been asking for a unicorn? Well that can't be done in real reality, maybe here in the Shed it would be possible. But how about a tiny cute pony?

I think the kid is showing some real character, and edge of that character ("Edge" as in a single point in a person's character which i find very interesting, regardless of the person's age)

I forget how big a corn snake gets. Will you have to feed it mice? I always remember my Rat that I got from my Niece's Husband. It was supposed to be snake food. I loved that rat. RIP little girl.

I like your idea of DIY jazz-it-up route with the furniture.
