Escapism.

Name of the game today

"noun
the tendency to seek distraction and relief from unpleasant realities, especially by seeking entertainment or engaging in fantasy."

Innocent people are dying and suffering and i can't handle it. Drinking now.

Stay healthy and safe

Hey there Shedistancers and Shedisolators!

I'm (loosely) thinking about maybe doing a LIVE gig on YT or FB from my house soon (haven't worked out the details yet) and have been thinking about songs that I like a lot but haven't ever played before...

This one popped into my head this morning.
It's an old 80's one from a Scottish band (from Dundee) called Fiction Factory.
I worked out the chords, printed out the words and gave it a go... (It's rough!! and I'm reading the lyrics, but hey - at least I'm trying right?? LOL)

Check out the original version too!!! It's a wee cracker.

Hope you're all safe & well,
Gx

We are all in this together, all over the world. It is difficult to watch and see things as they unfold, I know. We have each other, all of us who are gathered together in this enchanted realm. It is safe here and you are loved.

Thanks for the great music!

Oh noooo! What a time to be in the hospital, not that any time is a good time. Hope you come home soon and can type so we will know how you are doing.

Hugs!

Dropping in again to say I hope y'all are holding up OK!

As for me, well I went into late stage Howard Hughes mode years ago so I'm way ahead of the curve on this whole shelter in place gig.

Take care y'all

My telephone doc thinks that I just have a bad inflammation that will make me an invalid for several weeks if not months before it heals. So no attempts to go to hospital is preferred.

I believe it was WiS who requested a size comparison picture,
Yep that was me nit picking.
Finally. Now I have time to respond.
Thank you Nyiah that gives a me a better perspective of the size. In my mind I had pictured something very large. Three foot long etc. Or perhaps a tank you could dive in.

Casper is turning into a real butterball,
Is she edible? If she keeps growing you could "Go Fishing"
Made up like trout the traditional European way. MMmmm ( sorry)

Also, close-up of the Crypt-something plant.
I believe I can see the Fairy Night is referring to.
Night Star

Am I the only one who saw a fairy in one of the pics?

Kitty must have seen it.

This is one of the Kuhli Loaches
They are my favorites, they clean and look cool.

Night Star

Nyiah, get her out before she drowns in there
I don't think you have to worry. It is probably related to you. A Naiad, a water nymph, protectors of fresh water.

Before I start replying I would like share a little cuteness. Here are the "Three Amigos" Angel the Matriarch, Opal and Ruby, featuring in a scenario that was very rare.

These are "The Kittens" that I kept from the infamous litter. Opal and Ruby.

It is their nine month birthday today. Ruby was born at 8:30 am and Opal 9:45 or there about. They were very close as kittens so I decided to keep them. Which seems to work well.
Ruby is fifteen pounds as of today and thirty inches tall over his shoulders. A giant and gentle too.
Opal is as delicate and petite as her Mom and just as moody.
She is in spite of her size the dominant of the two.
Perhaps it is a female thing.

It has been an adventuress educational experience to be in the lives of such beings, from prenatal to now.
How naive I have been before.

I tend to differ, although I will agree it has taken on "viral" proportions.
It seems to have evolved over the past twenty years, and is a pet peeve of mine. It takes on much subtler approaches than the broad definition.
That for another discussion.
Stay well Sir Fin.

You old curmudgeon, shame on you, you made me choke up. I realized we all go back years and those times are dear to me. We evolve together. Grow old together.

But how about posting an "old" piece of yours in the "Live concert" like this.
now that would be a spectacle and create a contrast.
Be safe with the wee ones and Chrissy.
