The movie was released in 2016, I didn't say anythin about it proving my point, not sure why you would think so, I just pointed out the "coincidence". Lots of those in the media and Hollywood these days.

Now go into the Q thread and pat your friends on the back for their crazy conspiracy theories you hypocrite. 😋

Honestly, I think that analogy would be better mirrored for the left right now. Even if they win the impeachment, they get Pence who is further right, and Trumps base gets a rally call.

That's what the left is doing now. They are using what is outlined in the constitution as a way to hold a rival politician accountable.

They aren't threatening the right with murder if things don't go how they want.

This happened after Trump was elected

And? Snoop Dog made a video where he shot someone who looked like Donald Trump as well. Both of those are a far cry from actually mailing bombs to politicians, shooting up a pizza parlor, commandeering a bridge with weapons, and militias that only answer to Donald Trump training to kill and imprison liberals.

One is an expression of anger, the other is real violence in support of politics. Art isn't actual violence, whether you think it's art or not.

Kathy Griffin represents the entire left, don't you get it? Get with the identity politics already! It's all the rage around here these days. Unless you're talking about conservatives of course, only then is identity politics bad. Lol.

To be honest, I don't really have a dog in the fight at this point. Just calling it how I see it.

The likely hood either side gets my vote is very slim right now absent a huge revelation.

Both sides are at each others throat so hard, I don't see anything of substance being done by our government to help the nation. Whoever wins 2020, I doubt they will be able to get much of their platform through the arms of government. I just expect gridlock for years.

I support what Kathy Griffin is doing in that photo. Because it's art. I'd say the same if it was someone holding Obamas head. Art is supposed to comfort the uncomfortable and make the comfortable uncomfortable. And it follows that maxim.

What I have an issue with is when people try to compare things like that to actual acts of violence. There is no comparison of someone say, painting a picture of a murder and someone actually shooting someone.

there are many of us that have honestly had it. there are many of us that would do all we could to stop with whatever means we have to stop the nonsense that the DNC is trying to do. The main difference between us and the left is we are still willing to do it within the current structure of law. God help you people if that last firewall fails.

I have never been too politically active other than armchair and bitching, nor most of my friends. The only thing the DNC has changed is our level of disgust with them to be an actual passion that we are involved in as opposed to just complaining.

So are you basically saying that some of the people who voted for Trump and have told the people who did not that they should just accept the results of the vote and calm down would be upset enough to take up arms and get violent if the structures of the constitution and it's elected representatives were to rightfully impeach and remove this man from office.?

Just calling it how I see it.

That's all I'm doing as well. I can't think of one instance I've seen of anyone on the left calling for a civil war. People on the right may interpret their actions that way, but that just shows their own deep seated biases. I don't think any side, right or left, that uses what the constitution provides to hold an opposing politician accountable is guilty of an act of civil war.

It's the process the founders of this country wrote into the constitution to keep a civil war from happening. And I think people would do well to remember that.

We are in a cold civil war as we speak. A coup is already happening trying to get rid of a sitting president by a group whom have been very open about their agenda to have him removed from office the second it was announced he was the winner of the election over Hillary Clinton.

It will go hot when and if they are successful in removing this President from office.

If you kept up with events, there isn't a coup, just a very stupid president.
trump asked Russia to hack Hillary's emails on live TV, and we all know what happened next.
bonespur promised his fanboys evidence to destroy Biden but, exposed himself asking a foreign power for help, it's been in the news a little recently.
At least nixon and reagan tried to cover their tracks up.

Back on topic, probably a spike in mass shootings but no civil war.
Sufferers of actual trump derangement syndrome where everything he says is defended would irl, just take to the interwebz and post everything in block capitals. It's what they'd prefer too, it's easier to complain about government if your team isn't in power. Blaming the new world order for not having a wage increase while you voted for the party in power is just, weird.

Socially it could get interesting, there's been an attempt to normalise racist language which has taken off online but, while it unfortunately still happens irl, trump supporters aren't telling women of colour to go back to their country en masse. Hardcore trump fanboys might stir it up but again probably isolated.

The GOP hold the glamour and highlights of being in power, they don't wanna lose that and likely vote against impeachment anyways. hw bush won power after reagan and that was after both were found guilty of irancontra, people went back after nixon and w bush managed to get re-elected. That proves Republican voters are a strange breed encompassing stupidity, corruption with illegality and/or having the memory of a goldfish.

Werks. I think that Jag is right in your use of words in this post here. I'm pretty sure you were not directing your point at and about Jag but rather using the word ''you'' as a general grouping of people who might be and act as you suggest they might.

For myself I always try, semantically that is,to avoid the use of the word ''you'' in this manner as it can so easily be taken personally rather than the ''generally'' as I suspect you intended.

You may be right. I thought it would be clear that if you don't think that, it isn't about you. I don't take general comments personally that don't apply to what I believe.

I can't speak for anyone else.

Would it even be possible?

President Trump and a Fox news host said there will be civil war if he is impeached.
Let's just say for a moment he is impeached.

Let's say the pro Trump faction is inflamed and ready to fight. Would it even be possible in this day and age to have a civil war?
During the first civil war there were defined geographic lines. I just don't think we have that today. California is the only very distinct are I can think of. There are some other liberal areas I can think of, but there are a lot of conservatives in those areas too.

Would the new civil are be a cyber civil war?

I'd rather see the population storm Washington and clean house. I would join that caravan. Hunt them down and hang them for treason.

It has become crystal clear what "side" condones offense and which condones defense.

I only see one side threatening the other with civil war.

And the side they threaten is the one pushing socialism and gun confiscation which are both policies of naked totalitarian force and antithetical to the COTUS.

I support Kathy Griffins right to do as she did but to quote the left, "freedom of speech does not mean free from consequnces"

carry on!

ETA:Kathy Griffin and Anderson Cooper may not represent "all" of the left, but at one time they were "close enough for Government work".

It's the word "rightfully" we're looking at.

So far, we've seen nothing that comes close to rightfully. Trump is a big jerk, but he hasn't committed high crimes and misdemeanors.

His remarks to Ukraine are about as serious as the ones on Russia.

Not possible people just don't care as much as you do.

Nothing is going to change whether Trump is impeached or not. People will continue to buy cars. People will continue to buy gasoline. People will continue to copulate and have babies.

Most people simply do not care about politics. For some of you this seems like the end of the World but it isn't.

If you would kill another American over politics, you're the problem.

And I can't help but think you're a useful idiot for Americas enemies that want us all to kill each other.

Not sure who you are talking to, but I know it's not me. It is amazing that I just asked a simple question about a civil war and you jump to conclusions. You are are perfect example of why people do want a war.
You have so much hate in your heart against someone you don't even know. Are we not allowed to even ask questions in this country anymore?

But he's right. If you're (speaking in general terms, not specific terms) willing to kill over politics, you're the problem. Period. End of discussion. No sane person bothers to kill over politics, it's the cheap shot of losers.
I'm not willing to kill over stupid fricking POLITICS. I doubt you are, either. However, when you say "You are are perfect example of why people do want a war", it does nothing to temper tempers and enflames. You're being part of the problem by proxy by stirring the s# pot.
Don't sit the s# pot, it's unbecoming of anyone with two brain cells to smash together, let alone critical thinkers.
