In trying to understand quantum mechanics better, some scientists have put forth a theory that all matter has at the very least some consciousness. Your OP sorta reminded me of that.

If even the smallest atom had a small degree of awareness or consciousness, you'd think anyway if this theory was correct, that it'd have some, or even a large, impact on evolution.

It doesn't make sense for anything that is not a brain to have consciousness.
This is what happens when you try to claim that all human beings are conscious souls, you start to have to ascribe consciousness as a property of an object such as the brain, and you can then extend this to other objects. This is what leads you to wrong conclusions, so because of this, then it must be true that not everyone has a soul in order to avoid this.

The knowledge I am talking about applies only to source players (the souls). Those are the ones that it can be proven to. The rest are simply soulless ones so it cannot be.

Thats the perspective that, among other facets both modern and ancient, gave birth to science.

"Youll only understand if you are a true believer." Its the foundation behind nearly every belief system that has or does exist. Many of which involve a great extent of brainwashing and programming before you are "initiated."

Now, I certainly dont believe a scientific approach is flawless. Its based on the premise that we are capable of understanding what we are exploring in the first place, and that it will fit in a framework that will adhere to human abstraction.

That may very well not be true. But, its just about the best we have come up with and as a concept, can even be used to explore very "woo" areas. Its a balance though, obviously, since strict adherence to the method relies on our Cultural Story as well as the notion that it will fit in an acceptable framework that is limited by human capability.

We could use these 'high-collision intersections', to observe, and deconstruct our own belief structures.

Folks: the subject of 'souls': is not on any kind of solid ground.
It's all beliefs, opinions, conjecture, concepts, ideas, etc.....
No science, no facts.

What I mean by my statement by that is deeper than that. It is not about if they believe it, it is about if they have a soul or not. If a soulless one does the same things that I would tell a souled person to dowith respect to this knowledge, the soul will benefit while the soulless one will not benefit in the same way.

Meh, all living things may have a spirit, but not a soul. The soul is conscience, or sentience. Both exist in us, but not necessarily in an animal.

I agree with your post! I think if people start thinking certain groups who have different opinions than them don't have souls, this is very dangerous and definitely false!

All that is happening with people who think this is that they are dehumanizing others. It is not healthy for them to do this and could result in them making decisions that could have a negative impact on their karma and even afterlife.

Hopefully, this doesn't go mainstream! I wouldn't want conservatives to start thinking liberals don't have souls or visa Versa... they would have to be idiots to think this.

This is right. What the original poster is describing in his original post is that all humans have a spirit, but this is not the same as all humans having a soul

I hope that other members will try to participate in this discussion, but from what I have seen there are too many of them that just want to clash with you.

We will start by deconstructing the idea that everyone has consciousness.
What is it that makes a human being conscious? That is what we will start with.
