Thanks gallop This is an act of terror and violence committed against humanity itself - innocent people in their house of worship. We have the right to know what happened there, however disgusting and nauseating it may be to watch, this is the reality of the situation

How haven't they figured out that suppressing this kind of stuff only leads to mistrust, conspiracy theories and discontent?

Those who can stomach it would learn a lot about the reality of humanity through the eyes of this mad man. Sure, this video depicts true and unqualified evil. But it also demonstrates strength of will and unmitigated courage in the face of terror - when the unarmed man attempted to take the shooter down, without so much as a sharp stick.

The video is more horrific than any I've seen in my life. The shooter filmed it from the same first-person POV that video games use. Even when he changed magazines, it looked like Doom and it's variants. He mowed down masses of people so quickly and wants you to see it through his eyes.

Then he spies someone running through the building, trying to escape. The aim and single shot that he uses to take him down looked like Fortnite.

He fires his gun at the piles of bodies in the corners of the room. He was making sure they were all dead. I can't stop thinking about the corners.

He goes outside and walks to his car to switch guns. While he's outside, he aims and shoots people walking on the sidewalk. He walks up to one of the people he hit. He fires another bullet into his lifeless body.

He walks back into the mosque. It is filled with the dead. He fires into the mass of bodies in the corner again. One of the victims, who looked like a child, spasms as another bullet is fired at him.

I am reporting what I saw because the video has been taken offline. I am not making a statement about guns or video games. The horror of how this same scene played out at Sandy Hook, at Pulse Nightclub, at Stoneman-Douglas high school, at a country music concert in Las Vegas, and at many more places too numerous to list here, chills me to the bone.

My heart aches at this. We are one human family. I will never understand the mindset of someone so filled with an impulse and hunger for carnage.

I agree on all points. And, would like to also ask, for myself, after all those incidents you mentioned, in each case the death toll was increased by people huddling in groups. My question is,

Why do people think (or are taught) this is an acceptable strategy to keep yourself safe in these type of attack?!?!?! I mean, the FACTS show it only increases your chances of being shot or killed. STOP HUDDLING TOGETHER people !!!

Escape, and if you cannot escape, separate and use whatever means at your disposal to, as a group, fight back! If you are going to be shot and killed anyway, why not throw ANYTHING at the attacker and rush them as a group. Will some people possibly get shot, yes. But, your chances of surviving are better if you fight back to stop the attacker.

The police will only arrive after the fact to take statistics.

Don't be a willing statistic.

They want the seed of distrust to grow in the dark.. that's all I can think of. Because I agree with you. The very reason I sought the video out was not a sickness, but to know why it was hidden so overtly.

Once I saw it, I know what I saw was one of the worst things you can imagine. The blatant hideousness of it. But I also know that it is reality. And I'd rather be witness to what is real, than hidden from it. It doesn't change how I feel about anyone or anything. But what I saw today, is what I consider, now, to be a factor is how I see others. And I will be careful with who I witness.

To hide it, is to ignore it. And there is a vast difference between the fear brought on by not knowing, and the veracity, the truth, of knowing. I refuse to let that seed, grow in ignorance.

Simply, they were not in a war zone. They were not combatants. They were at a mosque, celebrating their own every day things.

They didn't have a warzone mentality in New Zealand.. they were just like any other family members, scared and protecting one another.
