Anyone not biased needs look at these people slandering Jehovah's Witnesses here, and realize that is what is happening in Russia. If they could they would get the Supreme Court in the United States to do the same thing (they have tried over and over and over with many failures).

A voiceless beast of burden, making utterance with the voice of a man, hindered the prophet’s mad course. 17 These are fountains without water, and mists driven by a violent storm, and for them the blackness of darkness has been reserved. 18 For they utter swelling expressions of no profit, and by the desires of the flesh and by loose habits they entice those who are just escaping from people who conduct themselves in error. 19 While they are promising them freedom, they themselves are existing as slaves of corruption. For whoever is overcome by another is enslaved by this one. 20 Certainly if, after having escaped from the defilements of the world by an accurate knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they get involved again with these very things and are overcome, the final conditions have become worse for them than the first. 21 For it would have been better for them not to have accurately known the path of righteousness than after knowing it accurately to turn away from the holy commandment delivered to them. 22 The saying of the true proverb has happened to them: “The dog has returned to its own vomit, and the sow that was bathed to rolling in the mire.”

I once was talking to the bishop of the Catholic Church of a certain prominent city. He said, we know you speak the truth. I said, then why do you not obey it? He said, if I preached the truth from the pulpit the people would reject me and I would lose my salary.

He was more concerned about the praise of wicked men, and unrighteous gain by means of false teachings than the glorification of God.

So are all such who hate Jehovah's Witnesses who teach the word of truth to the people. I will not engage with you any more.

You know the lies you perpetuate as much as the other who followed you here. You are all of you one and all in opposition to Jesus just as the religious leaders alive in his day.

You have not changed. And you will all receive the same exact reward they received. Unless you repent like Paul did.

I left the JWs and lost my whole family. For 35 yrs my family didnt speak to me. My mom got dementia and they shipped her to me. Even though she hadnt spoken to me for 35 yrs. I took care of her until she passed, and then they didnt let me go to her funeral.

A niece and a nephew of mine won a huge lawsuit for the abuse by an elder. It was a class action suit cause when he got caught in one town, the society sent him to another, and on and on it went. So many kids molested by that elder, and there are so many stories like that.

They dont require a tithe that is true, but I personally know so many people who should have inherited from their parents but the church was given all their property. This was true even in my moms case, they cleaned out her house and her kids were not allowed in until only trash was left. I found all the boxes of our family pictures in the trash.

Good on Russia, they need to throw the whole lot in jail for the cover up of their crimes.

I went to Bethel to see my cousins who lived and worked there, I visited the farm the head quarters etc, I quit school in 75 to be full time pioneer. I was a pharisee of pharisees, but what I saw in New York made me rethink all of it. I went home and wrote a letter to the society and told them what I thought of it and I left the church. I was disfellowshipped. Best decision I ever made.

When church organisations place themselves between us as individuals and God like JW.org and the Catholic Church does, well there can only be serious abuse, as you already know

Sadly it's not the people, it's the organisation as a whole, of course and the people who blindly follow.

Thank you Raggedy, Im in my 60s now, so it doesnt have much sting, but there was a time, when I thought my spirit would be crushed from the sadness of it all.

But, I would count it all worth it if just one person would listen to my story and run from the whole ugly mess.

I also left the JW around 35 yrs ago . When my mommas whippings didn't hurt anymore . I was never shunned by anyone . Never saw anyone have their property seized by the church .
Any of these anecdotal accusations can be hurled at any religious organization. So why should the JW's all be thrown in jail but not the rest of christendom?

Any organization that covers up child abuse should be jailed. I didnt exclude other religions, but we were focusing on the JWs.

Im glad you didnt have to suffer the way I had to. Were you baptized? I was baptized at 14 yrs old. The biggest mistake of my life, and it carried a life sentence of shunning. My older sisters to this day do not speak to me. My only sin was leaving the church.

They actually fill out time cards every month, and send them to the headquarters, one of my cousins was working there when I visited him in NY and he showed me the boxes and boxes of these old time cards. Im sure they use computers now, but OMG they really keep track of the time, and if you dont put in at least 10 hours a month you are not considered a regular publisher.

Things may have changed over the last 35 yrs, but I dont think so. The behind the scene tours my cousins gave me at the headquarters, business quarters and the farm, was a huge eye opener, and that is why I left the church. I was disgusted,

If calling out his lies was for the benefit of other viewingthe thread, would it not give us a better understanding of your position if you were able to demonstrate what his lies were instead of simply expecting others to fall into line and just take you at your word? Typically, if someone is called a liar,the other party is able to demonstrate what exactly the lies are but you’re dodging and weaving like a tight end making way towards a first down.
