Jehovah’s Witnesses in Russia Framed as Possessing Dangerous “Weapons” for “Extremist” Activity

Several international news outlets have reported that during recent searches in the Kirov region of Russia, authorities supposedly discovered “weapons” that they say belonged to Jehovah’s Witnesses. However, the “weapons” that the authorities found were in the home of someone who is not one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. The “weapons” were actually three rusty, inoperable relics from World War II—two grenades and one landmine. The individual’s wife, who is one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, apparently was not even aware that her husband possessed these items. The owner of the relics was once a chief of one of the well-known Russian “Poisk,” or “Search,” squads that looked for the remains of soldiers killed in WWII in order to provide them a proper burial. This work often yielded artifacts from the war, including defunct weapons. As Russian authorities continue to fabricate lies to discredit our reputation as peace-loving people, we recall the words of Jesus, who foretold that opposers would “lyingly say every sort of wicked thing against” his disciples.—Matthew 5:11.

This could go in breaking news, but decided to put it here in conspiracies in religion. And this conspiracy is being propagated by the Russian government.

A little earlier the Russian government banned the religious activities of Jehovah's Witnesses as extremist because they are a non-violent religion that does not believe in war or violence, and its members because they are peaceful cannot be radicalized to harm other people. (Which obviously is absurd and ridiculous.)

This latest blatant political, and news propaganda against a peaceful, Christian organization, by the Russian Federation betrays who and what it really is.

If you go around beating on doors and handing out literature for your cult, you're bound to run into the wrong person. Reminds me of something I always heard growing up.

There's an old saying in Tennessee..I know its in Texas... it's probably in Tennessee that says "Knock a door once, shame on.. shame on.. you? You knocked once , you best not knock again!"

Didn't the Russian govt. say the missionaries can no longer canvase but can keep the churches open.

It is pretty sad that the Russians are doing this but

JW.org is a US organisation and it's a US based cult so the Russians don't want that buisness in their country

Christianity, not just JW.org teaches peace, JW.org don't lay sole claim to that message of Jesus
And trust me, JW members can be radicalised, human nature

I am also guessing if an organisation doesn't open their books and out sexual predators, then ban them
