I find it incredible that you are so wrapped up in demonizing those people who have a different perspective than you on some issues that you automatically assume that those demons must have exactly the opposite view from you on every issue.

See, here's the deal...your basic premise is skewed by the conviction that the Left would oppose anything that made Trump look good. (and the facts are still out as to how much Dolt 45 had to do with it)
You are projecting how you would react to such a situation.

So...who do you think is better equipped to speak for the multitudes of the left? Who is in a more legitimate position to project their opinions on how the Left feel about anything?

Here is the deal... You look at all this as a Canadian and not a liberal American that wants only a win in 2018 and 2020 no matter the cost. So, what this means is any and all of Trump successes are viewed as bad while investing all their time and energy on anything negative that can be pinned on him no matter how insignificant.

The thing to consider is this:

Just because they are at peace, and the war is declared "over", doesn't necessarily mean that the north will lessen their stranglehold on their people one bit.

Remember, the differences in government between the two and all the propaganda the North has fed its people for decades.

Communism and a god-like ruler does not mean that the North will be all open and happy-go-lucky with the rest of the world all of the sudden, if ever.

I, however, would love to be wrong about what I just said. Time will tell, it always does.

American Lefty here and I'm happy with this move. Hopefully it will lead to North Korea losing their Hermit Kingdom title and their people will be allowed to join the rest of the world.

That said, I don't really see what Trump had to do with it. In fact it seems like relations between the Koreas started improving once they cut the US out of their diplomatic discussions.

As I had to point out to another poster today already, I beg to differ.

Just as there is only one correct spelling of the word Aluminium (the one found in the UK version of English), the definition of left and right from a political perspective, do not change just because one happens to be on the American continent, as opposed to being stood upon the British Isles. The ability of the common person to correctly identify left and right does, but the definitions do not.

Put another way, there is the way we think about these things this side of the ocean (UK, Europe and so on, where the paradigm originated), and the wrong way, and only those two options.

How does Trump marching to the MSM's drummer, trolling them towards aggression via military posturing and smack talk, give Trump credit for this. Looks more like a circumnavigation of neocon foreign policy.

A year ago when Fox was putting up polls saying 52% of United Statesians wanted military action in NK, in South korea less than half polled even viewed Kim as an "enemy" (let alone someone to be attacked). Totally out of step with the wishes of SK, the CIA-MSM agenda was.

This move here takes all the power away from DOD trolling that has kept the situation there artificially agitated for a about a decade plus.

Sure, war might be averted, which would appease the pacifists among us, but then there is the question of the 25 million slaves still trapped in North Korea.
