Being a jerk is not against the law. If it were Obama and Clinton would be serving life sentences.

Maybe. But it's hard to feel bad for Cohen and Trump...you treat people like scum, do shady things, you get what comes to you. I'm not relating it to anyone else.

Whats funny about this, is that I dont even think this would hurt Trump if its what I suspect. Looking into the possibility that Michael Cohen violated finance rules. Heck, just by Trump and Cohen's owned words they've basically already laid out all the evidence needed, and Trump threw Cohen under the bus legally. Whats happening here is what should be done by any good prosecutor who has a case and is looking for evidence, and the case against Cohen is well known already.

Mueller did the same thing to Manafort. He seized privileged communications in that raid also.

Mueller seems to have a bad habit of doing that.

How do you know that?!?!

What if they have evidence this close friend and lawyer was right in the middle of it???

They don’t do this raid if they are reaching.. they only do this raid if they already have evidence for a crime..and I doubt they would be pushing some nonesense procedural infraction..

The American people wouldn’t stand for trump being prosecuted or empeached over something that wasn’t a moral crime..

That dog don't hunt.

Because it means Mueller had nothing after he's had so much time.

This move was a hail Mary pass to get something on Trump.

Yeah this is Muellers brainchild.

FBI raids office of Trump’s longtime lawyer

The FBI on Monday raided the office of President Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, seizing records related to several topics including payments to porn star Stormy Daniels.

Manhattan federal prosecutors obtained the search warrant for Cohen’s office after receiving a referral from the special counsel, Robert Mueller, according to Cohen’s lawyer, who called the search “completely inappropriate and unnecessary.”

The search does not appear to be directly related to Mueller’s investigation but likely resulted from information he had uncovered and gave to prosecutors in New York.

So far outside his investigation its not even funny.

Mueller is trying to cover his ass and is now hoping for anything to get Trump with. The referral and warrant application need to be reviewed to ensure they are valid.

Then that sounds like Illegally spending Campaign Funds to pay off porn stars, and lying about in Federal Filings.

Mueller likely spotted the money trail while examining illicit transactions amongst team Trump.

All of that assumes the NY Post got the story right.

and again thats not a valid viewpoint when it comes to breaching attorney client privilege. This is one of those actions that can affect anyone down the road, regardless of the letter they have after their name.

Also I would imagine the left would go nuts if a 2nd special prosecutor is appointed and these actions are employed against Clinton or Obama.

Same rules for all.

Absent that our legal system means nothing and is only there for political prosecutions.

And even worse...democrat or republican...nothing ever sticks. Nothing will come of this, except a few low level sacrifices. We should know by now, that our top politicians are above the law.

Its called and end run around the courts. Her lawyers failed to get a judge to remove the NDA so the n al of a sudden Mueller sends a referral and boom, documents dealing with the porn star are seized.

This is not an investigation- It is a political prosecution and coup.

In my opinion, this is only news because Cohen used to be Trump’s lawyer. If it turns out like everything else related to Mueller’s investigation, it won’t have anything to do with Trump or his campaign. Just MSM using every bit of negative ties to Trump as they can because the midterms are right around the corner. The Dems and liberal media know the midterms could swing to the right and are worried. I’d hope the warrant was obtained ethically unlike that FISA warrant, but other than that we will just have to wait for the facts.

Thats not what it means at all. Occasionally Mueller would make referrals to Rosenstein about what to do with a particular matter. In this case he handed it to the New York Southern District Court where the warrant was likely signed off on by Geoffrey Berman who was appointed under the Trump Administration, it would have also had to go through the magistrates and judges of the SDNY Court.

This is huge, guys. No pun intended. A sitting Presidents lawyer's office was raided. Trump can't fire Mueller because they know there are Republicans who will vote to impeach along with every single democrat in office.

My husband is about to meltdown and I'm doing the Hillary shimmy!!

Although I think that this is concerning the Stormy payment , one of the charges is bank fraud. That is a 30 year felony. This is absurde.

Normally I would agree however all the evidence that has come to light dealing with the FBI and DOJ, illegal surveillance, info omitted on warrant applications.

This is a coup and all because Clinton lost, wasted 1.2 billion dollars, and left everyone who cheated or lied for her hanging in the wind and in a position she could no longer protect.

If they dont bring Trump down and soon I imagine a lot will be going to prison.

As I said.. It is now a race between Mueller and the left getting something that sticks and the judges overseeing Manafort and Flynn's case ending Mueller by ruling the seizures or warrants invalid.

We are seeing who is trying to get their first.

However the left does have one issue. Trump can still pardon anyone Mueller goes after, including Trump himself.

In order to impeach Congress has to draft the charges. That means all evidence can be reviewed by anyone in the House. If it makes it to the Senate for Prosecution then, again, we have info I am sure neither side want revealed. Since Congress is protected by the speech and debate clause they can introduce information free of criminal repercussions.

Personally if the left keeps this up I think Republicans should do just that. Read ALL the info into the congressional record.
