I've seen that one as well. I felt like it had to be some weird atmospheric/weather thing causing an unusual reflection, but I can definitely see how it would be unsettling. Especially if seen in person. a reply to: Scrubdog

It makes you wonder if these craft, whether manned or remotely operated, are mostly doing surveillance. a reply to: NoCorruptionAllowed

Thank you for sharing this story OP. Sounds genuine.

I have not personally observed cloud forming/cloud concealing craft, however, I mentioned in a past thread something I have observed that your grandfather seems to have experienced too.

Im talking about how these craft or their pilots seemingly capable of knowing when they are being observed, even from miles and miles away.

Ive personally witnessed a flashing light in the sky that, whenever it would flash, would be a good distance up, down, forward, or backwards. It was very bizarre. As soon as i pulled out my phone to record, it disappeared.

If you look at what is currently possible with our military technology, we can have camera sensors mounted on the craft that give a 360 degree panoramic view using multiple cameras. The images from each camera are then fuzed together to make one mega-image, which can then be analyzed by motion detection software to pick out regions of activity.

There is also the Coandă effect with airflow. Some experimental aircraft allows lift to be generated by pushing air around an ellipsoid frame so that the airflow formed a vortex ring around the craft. This would allow for the containment of any kind of water or gas vapour to make a "cloud".

The story reminded me of this video, I saw many years ago and found again.

I wonder if it has ever been observed where a daylight meteorite creates a cloud as it burn up in the atmosphere. From what I know, stony meteorites in general often contain a surprising amount of water, and if it hit the atmosphere during the day you probably wouldn't see the meteorite or a flash, but rather the water left over from its disintegration.

I wasn't disputing your honesty at all. I've no reasons to be dismissive.

There have been a lot of witnesses over the years who have these vivid memories that aren't shared by those they were with. One person says they remember a light in the sky and their friend says it was an up-close, low-altitude craft.

Since one of my less than useful college degrees is Sociology, I've always been kind of fascinated by this. It can definitely be "dismissed away" as different people simply not having the same point-of-view, but I suspect that explanation is more easy than it is accurate. It happens more frequently than one would guess.

Individual perceptions creating separate, co-existing realities? Who's to say?

Loved this story. And the way you told it, I was sitting right there, fishing in the river down in SC. I could see the picnic basket, the blue sky, the hats they were wearing.

And I could perfectly picture this odd UFO, hiding itself behind clouds of its own making, and then presenting itself to the fishing party just for fun.

Great story, great sighting.

Well before hiding in clouds came to mind, I recieved a message in a dream state showing me what they do. So stop here and realize I have had many, many experiences, just follow my posts, I don’t post often, but tried to do justice to them.

I got the message, “‘this is how we do it”, Then I saw this rather long wingless vessel which would look like a cylinder from beneath. However is was actually oval looking from the front with rows of windows around the front and part way down the side. You described exactly how the cloud worked to hide the vessel in the sky as I was shown. They came part way out of the cloud and the cloud remained intact.

The message was so clear, I went to my iPad and drew a picture of it immediately. Good description by the way.

Is there not some verse in the bible about "wheels within wheels"? I'm sure i read that somewhere.I'm pretty sure that thing from the OT was a megalomaniacal alien overlord, easy to appear as a "god" to primitive tribes when you have access to advanced metatechnology. Not sure how Jesus ties in.But i do recall something about "wheels within wheels" in the sky.And i think it was Elijah that was taken up to "heaven" whilst still alive?

ooh this reminds me of a story on unsolved mysteries, but not ufo's.....there was an accident and a lady came along and she was dressed all in black in unusual clothes dress/outfit..she had a bible and prayed over one of the victims in a strange tongue..then she left....most of the people claimed they saw no such person at the accident site......only these 2 people..they went to a museum later that had clothes on display from a hundred years ago and there was the black dress,,these clothes were worn at the religious events in the tents back then

It's curious enough to entertain the possibility.

I've been circling an idea for a few years that we might be experiencing different slices of imposed realities. In that train of thought, classical UFOs flash and shine to catch attention. They want to be seen. In that context, those who look might be a self-selecting sample. The idea grew from my own sighting and my efforts to explain it.

Caveat needed! I'm not wedded to the idea and keep an open mind on several possibilities including one that says we have no idea whatsoever.

Hehe this is where a few nuts n bolts UFO fans start twitching. Sooner or later everyone butts up against stuff that's 'paranormal' and sees a parallel comparison to something that's 'ufological.' At the same time, there are hoaxes and misperceptions in both those fields too. They have a lot in common for the close observer.

Paranormal stuff is a whole other set of unexplained events.

In my UFO sighting plus the dark helicopters I didn't usually see, I just happened to be outside the house looking around when I heard the sound of rain approaching. I'm kind of glad I saw it or I'm not sure if I would have believed what I saw. I didn't see anyone else outside just looking around. Even now most people do not look up at the sky for very long unless something grabs their attention. I happen to be an amateur Astronomer and I also considered majoring in meteorology but did not. I may look up more than most people. I sometimes like looking at the different cloud formations. I was also into photography at one time. I still like taking pictures of scenery sometimes.
