UFO that creates and sucks up a cloud disguise

The story I'm sharing happened roughly fifty years ago and was told to me by my Grandfather (now deceased). It happened to him, my uncle (also deceased), and a man named Arnold. At the time Mr. Arnold and my uncle were teenagers and my Grandfather had taken them fishing. Now, I have heard the story a few times from my grandfather growing up and the details never changed. I asked both my uncle and Mr. Arnold about it and both of them not only confirmed that the event occurred but all three versions of the story were pretty much identical. My reasons for sharing this are two-fold: firstly it's a cool story that I believe to be true, and additionally I'd love to hear if anyone has heard stories with circumstances similar to the one I'm about to share.

The Location is low country area South Carolina, near Coward, SC on Lynches River. My grandfather and the two teens were in an ordinary Jon boat fishing when Arnold noticed a cloud that was behaving funny. He called it to the attention of the other two. The day was mostly clear and the sky was blue. This cloud was one of very few in the sky and instead of being still or gently drifting it was darting around erratically and quickly. They stopped the boat and started pointing at the cloud when it suddenly began to descend and come straight toward them. It stopped and was still pretty far away from them. The cloud started to shrink and was apparently being sucked inside of a disk shaped metal object that had been hidden behind or inside it. They said it looked about the size of a school bus, its appearance was like smooth polished metal with what looked like a few square shaped windows. They only saw it for a moment before it created the cloud round itself again and went back up into the air. It sucked up and recreated the cloud several times, then without the cloud it flew down to just over the tree line on the opposite side of the river from them then shot away quickly into the sky and was gone in seconds. The boys were scared, my grandfather always swore he wasn't scared and was just really curious. They had already been fishing for awhile and had caught plenty so they decided to head back home.
Apparently about five to ten minutes after the UFO zipped away, they saw several jets in formation shoot past in the direction it had gone. Now, I've read a lot of sighting stories, but I haven't heard anything quite like the cloud camouflage. I would love to know what thoughts everyone has on the event and if you have heard anything similar.

I can't say I've ever witnessed or heard of this cloud camo, but I'm hoping someone else has some stories about it as well.

Many other cases have similar attributes, especially how it focused in on your group in the boat after you all noticed it and brought attention to it among yourselves. This is a feature common to a lot of cases. Just assume it is someone(s) from elsewhere visiting here, so by this thing's behavior, lends to the idea that it has advanced surveillance capabilities, but also something else is possible. Like how when some people are being stared at, they know or feel they are being watched and then look for the source. Many UFO cases act like this. It is a very interesting thing with interesting implications. Thanks for sharing it

I interpret these sort of verses as descriptions of some sort of advanced beings, to the best of the authors ability to comprehend. Maybe just early versions of science fiction.
I don't consider myself to be a particularly religious person, but I do find verses like these interesting.
I have seen UFO's on more than one occasion.
I know the feeling of being awestruck by something beyond my ability to comprehend.

Thank you for sharing this story OP. Sounds genuine.

I have not personally observed cloud forming/cloud concealing craft, however, I mentioned in a past thread something I have observed that your grandfather seems to have experienced too.

Im talking about how these craft or their pilots seemingly capable of knowing when they are being observed, even from miles and miles away.

Ive personally witnessed a flashing light in the sky that, whenever it would flash, would be a good distance up, down, forward, or backwards. It was very bizarre. As soon as i pulled out my phone to record, it disappeared.

Angels, comma, fallen Angels both aka Aliens. ( Both good and bad) Do you follow?

The scriptures indicate that they cheered when Earth was made. They obviously were not from Earth..... Aliens

Well written and interesting story, thanks for sharing.

I have no such experiences, but i have thought about the possibility of UFOs "hiding" in clouds, just ordinary clouds or clouds that the UFO itself created to hide in.

I am also glad that UFOs have made a comeback to ATS. Refreshing and fascinating!

No, Yeshua, Son of the Living God, is also known as the Word.

In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
And the Word was God,
And the Word was made flesh,
and dwelt among us.

God is not Alien. God is everywhere, before anything. By definition, He cannot be Alien, but all Angelic, both good, and fallen are.

I've posted this story on here before but about 30 years ago or so when I lived in southeastern NC, I spotted 4 or 5 helicopters escorting a round cloud moving in between all the helicopters flying just a little ways above the trees. Some rain was falling out of this cloud. A military base was located about 25 to 45 miles north of my location. It was the middle of the day. I thought the helicopters were dark.

I knew it wasn't normal because helicopters don't usually escort a cloud and there were 4 or 5 helicopters flying in a circle around this cloud relatively fast. It was moving fast enough that I attempted to dodge the rain from the UFO but still got exposed before I made it to the eve of the house about 30 feet away. I just waited a few seconds and all had flown by. I thought the cloud was a great disguise to hide a UFO in broad daylight. I'm not sure why they had 4 or 5 helicopters all around it though. That didn't look normal nor did the speed of this cloud at a low altitude.

So far since getting exposed, I have not glowed in the dark nor seen any aliens. I just happened to be outside when they flew over my head. Sometimes I wonder if I'm being watched when I hear a very loud rumbling sound outside but I always assume it's a neighbor's big truck. I haven't seen any more UFO's that I remember. I live in South Carolina now.

Have you questioned this memory and is it possible you dreamt or imagined it? It sounds like a vivid dream.

It doesn't make sense for the helicopters to be flying circles around the cloud when they could have flown straight. They'd be unable to travel quickly from A to B if their flight pattern involved circling.

The sheer noise of 4-5 helis flying at tree-top altitude for potentially '25 to 45 miles' would inevitably draw the attention of everyone with ears to hear. From time to time, chinooks fly low over my workplace and you can't help looking up when the racket they make is first heard. They can be around half a mile away when we hear the noise and moments later before they are sighted.

Perhaps you had what Jerry Clark calls an 'experience anomaly.'

I enjoyed your story. Very strange indeed. At Christmas dinner, myself and one of my in-laws were chatting, and the subject of UFO's came up fairly casually as he and his work buddy had a weird 'black triangle' encounter while they were travelling on the M9 between Falkirk and Edinburgh. He said he seen this 'black triangle' sitting on it's side, stationary in the sky, making no noise, and had light grey tips. This was sometime in the late 1990's, his wife also recalled the time he came home from work that day and confirmed he was pretty freaked out by it. His work colleague, however, does not admit it happened, leading to my in-law joking that the MiB had gotten to him with one of their flashing pens. He's a great guy, very funny and genuine and I have no reason to disbelieve him.

Danny Dyer hosted some UFO show years ago. He went and interviewed a guy who constantly filmed the sky. IIRC the guy caught something that looked black and triangular during a stormy day.

This was sometime in the late 1990's, his wife also recalled the time he came home from work that day and confirmed he was pretty freaked out by it. His work colleague, however, does not admit it happened, leading to my in-law joking that the MiB had gotten to him with one of their flashing pens. He's a great guy, very funny and genuine and I have no reason to disbelieve him.

A few researchers over the years have commented on this. It's not unheard of for two or more people to have the same experience and then describe very different objects. It's one of the reasons why psychological explanations are popular. There was also a London-based researcher who said he saw a UFO in the sky. As he watched, he said it began to look like a Lancaster bomber and then a black triangle. He then claimed he walked home to find a strange man knocking on his door. He considered it a MiB moment too.

I think I heard the story with CSETI of UFO's camouflaged as planes and then flying through a mountain and disappearing.
