Turkey is a Muslim country and Jerusalem is sacred to Muslims , America is legitimising Israels claim to Jerusalem by signaling the moving of their embassy.
Is Jerusalem sacred to Jews? What's your point

My point was in answer to why is Turkey upset by the move.
Erodgan...... He is not an ally of the West. Do you think he is? I'd be very curious who was supporting the Coup against him, nation-state wise. I'm not buying it was just that preacher in PA. You need support and assets to try that.

The UN is the root cause of the issues surrounding Jerusalem and subsequent issues with Palestine (and Jordan, to a lesser extent).

Israel is the root cause to the problems faced by the Palestinians , that has been obvious for decades , how would you feel if your neighbor set up a tent on your land and claimed it as their own ?

Some more triggered snowflakes.

Hundreds of Palestinian protesters clashed with Israeli troops across the West Bank on Thursday while demonstrators in Gaza burned posters of President Donald Trump over his widely denounced decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

The leader of the Hamas militant group, which runs Gaza, called for a new armed uprising in a widespread show of anger, as the demonstrators torched American and Israeli flags.

In the West Bank, crowds of protesters set tires on fire and hurled stones at Israeli troops. In Bethlehem, troops fired water cannons and tear gas to disperse a crowd, in clashes that could cloud the upcoming Christmas celebrations in the town of Jesus’ birth. In Ramallah, the seat of the Palestinian government, protesters set tires on fire, sending a thick plume of black smoke over the city.

Of course he is , Turkey became important to the west before the Iraq war and remains important as a strategic ally.

I'd be very curious who was supporting the Coup against him, nation-state.

I believe Erodgan supported the coup against himself as it seems likely he instigated it as a way to solidify his grip on power ... seems to have worked , no ?

Hi AB.
I wouldn't rule anything out if Trump is involved , we can but guess at what goes on in that tiny mind of his.

I thought of that angle too....a Purge in the guise of a Coup. Its very possible but it seems Russia gave him a heads up. He almost got captured or Assainated. I'm sure he used the Coup to further consolidate his power either way.

Why is and was Erodgan a big Muslim Brotherhood supporter. I don't agree he is a good ally, just playing us for his benefit. Wait till he turns on the refugee floodgates again if he doesn't get his way.

Doesn't this POS know that it IS NOT his (nor any US President) job to decide a foreign country's capital. Guess not...

. Huh? Who does it then? Israel says Jerusalem is it's capital.
Multiple versions of the Senate and House of Representatives have as well, since 1995 and as recent as this year. Are they POS's too?

Turkey is an important member of NATO. Edogan has been drawing nearer to Russia now that he earned Putin's respect by shooting down a Russian jet. Popular anger in Turkey about Trump's actions could give Ankara an excuse to leave the alliance. There is a very real possibility of war between countries allied to the United States. Stay tuned.

Which Admin was it under that Turkey started drawing nearer to Russia? I forget...... Turkey under Erodgan is not a true Ally. The Turkish Military maybe, but Erodgan gutted opposition there years ago under which U.S. admin again?

Erdogan in Turkey is very dangerous and a evil man, these radical Muslims will not stop until they try to take over Jerusalem.U.S. Has been wanting Jerusalem the capital of Israel for decades. Both Democrats and Republicans.Media lies about it for the next election and Obama also is very very dangerous for ever trying to work with the Muslim brotherhood.
Folks these are the biblical prophecies being fulfilled with Israel.

The one before the administration that let North Korea test an ICBM that can reach Washington DC. America is not omnipotent, believe it or not.

As to the people lamenting the "End of the Peace process" ; Wake up, and get real.

The Peace process died the day the Palestinians voted for HAMAS to be the legitimate representative Government. That's like North Carolina declaring the KKK is their state government, and that it REALLY, REALLY wants to help race relations grow better...

Not that the P.L.O. was some great body of government, but they weren't HAMAS....

Sometimes the only road to peace, takes you through a long stretch of war. This is the road that has to be navigated in order to reach the peace a the end.
