I don't know why everyone seems to think the way to have peace is to leave everything in Limbo.

Limbo means everything is up for grabs. That's EXACTLY when people are most likely to start shooting!


When the morality of a situation is murky, it's wise to simply give the prize to the group with the most guns. Why?

Because either:

A: There won't be a war.

or

B: It will be a very short war.


If you give it to the weaker party then there quite certainly will be a war.

Talking with an Arabic translator I know, he told me that the killings were are starting to hear about have actually been going on for a very very long time. The West was unaware of it apparently because there are many words for "Kill" or "Murder" in Arabic, and our reporters were only watching for a few of those words.

actually it was the terrorist know as the united nations that decided in 1947 that they would deal with european jews by dropping them into british palestine and letting them call it the state of israel but just like when europeans came to the americas they displaced the native populations which caused conflict . i have nothing against the jewish people and i totally understand why they wanted to leave europe. we in north america should have offered to take them in we had plenty of room back then .

The only way to secure peace and for the Palestinians to have their own state is for the global community to put pressure on Israel to stop settlement building and negotiate peace but they won't because ... reasons.

Israel don't want peace they want land , all of the land , and provoking violent responses from the Palestinians is their way of getting it , I've been watching it happen for decades and it makes me sick.

Jerusalem is already claimed as part of Israel so what’s the difference if it’s just a normal city or the Capitol city?

So because Israel declared it to be theirs it becomes theirs ?

They forcibly relocated their own citizens who were living in Gaza in 2005. When you consider how much private property is involved in a thing like that, that's actually really hard for a government to do.

They've put themselves in a strong tactical position, and under their administration it has been a pretty decent place to visit and/or live.

The Palestinians haven't demonstrated that they can govern anything. Yes, they've been at a great economic disadvantage, but there have been other cultures who found themselves in worse situations and who did much better. (In particular.... the Jews actually did pretty well when they were living as second class citizens in the various natioin of Europe.)

The Palestinians continuously show they can only unite against a common foe, and they don't even achieve that very well.


Who do you want running the place? A bunch of idiots who can barely run a hamlet? Or a highly educated nation that brings modern methods to bear and successfully administers?


To the South, you've got Egypt, which is not in the same situation as Palestine, but is continuously getting torn apart by bloody violence, Muslim on Muslim. To the point where it has disrupted their tourist trade.

If that's any indication of what the Palis are capable of, then a Palestinian run Jerusalem would be one that only Muslims could safely visit, and not even them really.

Israel at least has to ability to keep it open for everyone. They're the least incompetent option.

Does not in any way 'Compel' any other Nation on Earth to also recognize the City of Jerusalem as the Seat-of-Israeli-Government.... and Official Capital City..... perhaps the original declaration by the UN itself should be scrutinized further as to IF Jerusalem was awarded to both Israel and Palestine in the first place, or was Intended to remain separate

It is amazing to me what a power spot Jerusalem is. Not because it has any useful natural resources. Just because so many people's imaginations are caught up in a fairy tale about an all powerful god, and the keys to the afterlife.


But realizing that this (otherwise worthless) lump of dirt is psychologically necessary to the emotional well being of many millions of people, I think it is important to put it in the hands of the most capable administration available. Who can maintain well enforced municipal laws, water, electricity, and fewest possible gun/bomb toting lunatics running around.

I think the decision should be made on 100% pure basis of competency. No other factors.
