And there's still a DOJ IG investigation ongoing into whether the FBI botched the investigation. That's far from over. I still doubt anything comes of it.

And he lied to Vice President Pence, which is why Trump fired him and stated so.

It actually doesn't mean that at all. Sometimes that's how you get a deal. Sometimes your defense team bluffs the investigators and they're so anxious to get those higher ups that they fall for it. We don't know which of those happened in this case. We know Mueller is a tough cookie, but we also know he is under tremendous pressure to get some of those higher ups. That could make him make errors in his negotiations.

Ah, so lets exam human modus-operandi. Why lie to the FBI about meeting the Russian Ambassador? What motivated Flynn to lie and does that have anything to do with the original allegation that Russia interfered in the election?. Hillary made the allegation during the 2nd debate and on Nov 9th the MSM said the Russians are to blame for Hillarys defeat.

That assumption is 50/50.

Plea agreements often happen when there's thin evidence on other allegations.

Flynn was fired from the Trump admin when he got caught lying to Pence.

As for lying to the FBI I still maintain it deals with his Russia contacts and his failure to register as a foreign agent (FARA). Not registering is a crime so there might be incentive there to lie. The problem with that is t occurred during Obamas administration. The Obama admin allowed him to keep his security clearance and failed to act when Flynn failed to get prior DoD approval to go to Russia on several occasions.

Given everything the left thinks, lying to the FBI gets them nowhere.

Its verified Russia tried to interfere in our election. What the left wants to believe is that it involved Trump-Russia collusion (which doesnt exist). Even the FBI is now saying the idiotic dossier is bunk and cant verify any of it. 17 intel agencies did NOT say it was verified.

It has also been confirmed by Obama AND Trump admins that russia did not change the vote totals or any outcome of elections. The left keeps pushing that because they cant accept the fact that A - Clinton lost B - to Trump and C after spending 1.2 billion dollars.

With the latest news that the Clinton admin would have fired the Intelligence Inspector General if she won could be viewd as obstruction as well.
