Flynn charged with one count of making false statement

Michael Flynn has been charged with lying to the FBI.

Apparently he is going to court today to affirm a plea deal.

He must have squealed on some other people I would imagine !!


Flynn charged with one count of making false statement

Special counsel Robert Mueller has charged former Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn with "willfully and knowingly" making "false, fictitious and fraudulent statements" to the FBI regarding conversations with Russia's ambassador.

Flynn is the first Trump administration official and the fourth connected to the campaign to be charged as part of Mueller's investigation into possible collusion between the Russian government and members of Trump's team, as well as potential obstruction of justice and financial crimes.

Trump's former campaign chairman Paul Manafort and his deputy Rick Gates were indicted last month; they pleaded not guilty. And Trump campaign foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos pleaded guilty for making a false statement to the FBI over contacts with officials connected to the Russian government.

The #resisters must be so excited they can't sit still. First the illegal got off all the serious charges (take that DRUMPFT!!!!) and now Flynn gets charged with a minor crime. These are the type of "wins" they're reduced to taking.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Take a few minutes to go and read it. He's charged with falsely claiming that he didn't ask the Russian ambassador to avoid escalating the situation, and falsely claiming that he didn't ask him to delay a UN vote.

I'm sure I'm not going to be the only person who asks: THAT'S IT ?!?! THAT'S THE WORST THING MUELLER COULD NAIL THIS GUY ON?

I guess the question would be whether they had more on him, but he cut a deal to take the one charge.

Doubtful in terms of squealing... 1 count of lying to the FBI given the speculation on the left is a relatively minor outcome. The other thing is what did he lie about and when did it happen?

Notice the lack of charges in regards to "Russian collusion".

If I had to guess it deals with his acting as a foreign agent by lobbying and failing to do so.

and even after all of this there is the issue of his unmasking by Obama administration people which started this whole thing.

Given that Flynn wasn't around very long, I'd think the odds of him having any interesting "dirt" on Trump are pretty low.

Uh, he lied about quite a few things, I did read it. I don't know why I cant copy paste it. So why do so many of trumps team feel the need to LIE about Russia?

How many indictments has Clinton seen yet? Oh yeah, none, but yeah this is the story that has no legs.
