BTW: The worst case scenario you described is still unacceptable. "Assault rifles" are used in a very, very small percentage of crimes. So going after them proves this is only about culture warfare and not saving lives. If you want to save lives, however, why don't you target drinkers/smokers and go after parents who shovel McDonalds garbage in their kid's mouths?

But that'd make too much sense. It'd actually be about saving lives and making people healthier instead of engaging in overt and blatant culture warfare. You should get some facts regarding the first "assault weapon" ban: it didn't stop crime, and it didn't save lives.

Some measures could work: reasonable measures. Any measures must target THE HUMAN and not THE WEAPON before they'll work or be accepted by the firearm community. Banning ANY class of weapon is not only ineffective, but unacceptable to those of us who posses said weapons. Believe me when I say you don't want to turn millions of gun owners in this country into criminals overnight through half-baked legislation - no one would like the outcome of that, I assure you.

Why should a male have to use a public restroom with a female? Why should females be forced to conduct their private restroom business around a male? It is absurd to believe that your ACTUAL gender changes simply because you will it.

One thing I always respect about the left is their typical love and support of science and the scientific method. It is your right to claim whatever gender you want (you have free speech), but forcing others to recognize it against the principles of science is wrong.

Either that or privacy in the restroom should be removed totally, and cameras placed in every last square inch. I won't risk the false-assault claims that such private-space mingling opens us up to.

Why will you allow an all or nothing approach to one group of people yet be repulsed by applying it to others? Given this happened at home, what measures - if any - do you propose the government enact? TSA latex glove treatment, Body scanners, DNA tests in every home before toilets can be used? Or do you just have an issue with trans people in general and are using this event that has no relevance to public bathroom use to remove rights of a group based on no evidence?


Are you aware of the dangers of articles such as this and views such as your own that are calling for rights to be removed from a particular sex/gender based on no evidence or precedent? I couldn't care less if a man wants to pretend to be a woman. I do care if that same man is using the same PRIVATE, unmonitored and unprotected space as my wife or daughter against their will! Just as I don't want females in the same PRIVATE, unmonitored and unprotected space that I am in. This opens each respective group up to many legal and security risks. And for what? So society can be a party to a person's delusions? I don't think so.

With the number of false sexual assault claims (including lowering the bar), I refuse to share a private and unmonitored space with a member of the opposite sex. That's just how it is, short of every single restroom having a myriad of cameras and audio monitoring devices installed therein.

Now I'm really confused. How would that work? Trans paedos would still be in the same bathroom as kids then, kids would be at the exact same risk they currently are at. It does nothing to solve the problem. I thought this was about child safety and what can be done to protect children, not what irrelevant excuses/bleeding heart propaganda we can weaponise to remove rights from trans people.

Sorry, but we have thousands of laws on the books related to guns. They (and you it seems) use terms like semi-automatic assault weapons need to be banned. That is every gun in the nation because they are all semi-automatic assault weapons if they are used that way. But you say! If it saves one child it will be worth it! What about the children?
