‘I Was Just Going to Bed When the Shooting Started’

LAS VEGAS — Floyd Conrade, 50, a storage administrator for information technology from Emporia, Kan., checked into the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on Sunday night. He was in town for a four-day conference, and assigned to Room 31-134.

He, of course, had no idea what was being planned directly over his head. Hours later, a man on the floor above — in the conjoined rooms of 32-134 (a standard room) and 32-135 (a 1,705-square-foot suite) opened fire on a crowd attending a country music concert across South Las Vegas Boulevard. In each room, the man, Stephen Paddock, broke a floor-to-ceiling window to commit the massacre.

Q: What did you do once you realized it was a gunman just above you?

A: At that point, I stayed away from the window, in case anybody decided to return fire. It was like, let’s put something between me and the window. Once everything quieted down, I went and looked back out the window a little.

I just want to point out the two last gunshots (about 3:25 to 3:45).

One in Paddock's chest/abdomen...and after he falls...one in the mouth?

Now, that is just my take with my working theory. But others may have different ideas to offer.

There is also a tracer that can be seen by some (not me, I can't spot it)...possibly going towards the hotel, not away, at about the 3:28 mark.

I viewed the video before I saw your comments below the video and without predetermined or biased thought on it, that exactly what I thought when I heard those last two single shots.

If you read this the guy gives the impression the police were all over the place WHILE the shooting was going on!

A: I tried to leave my room at one point. And there were police and security in the hallway. I stuck my head out, and they said, “You need to stay in your room.”

This guy is either confused or lying. Of course he oculd just be mistaken

That's something I have heard in virtually every video I've seen of the event.

Those gunshots are unique.

One would think you could hear the final shot fired when Paddock allegedly shot himself in the mouth.

But you hear TWO single gunshots, not just one.

I am so glad someone else took away the same from that.

Yea, you can actually see one poor girl who im pretty sure is already deceased as her eyes are open, shes not moving at all. People are holding her head but it looks pretty obvious she is gone. Crazy video

Yea, so I was going over in my mind the TWO shots. I thought I missed something about two and just wasn't keeping up with the developments.

We can assume the one was the final suicide shot (if it occurred that way) but two, it's about 15 secs apart.

Perhaps the "buyers" requested the ammo for purchase... perhaps they brought it with them... Given that the assault happened, and presuming that it was planned, then they would have considered the circumstances and conditions and found a way to do what they needed to do.

I picture crates with multiple guns and ammo that they would pick up at a different location. Seems like carrying all that stuff up and down would cause a scene maybe.

I read one account which said the ammo was in suitcases, and there were a couple suit cases right next to the ammo stacked by the pillar. So there's that. I have no idea how much ammo was found and how much ammo would fit into a suitcase.

Some reports stated that Paddock brought his luggage up during shift breaks when there was more confusion and less likely to be noticed. I also think it's possible that he brought some up the staircase which exits right next to his room.

Also, I remember on day 2 or 3. The news was reporting that the police/fbi was very familiar with the shooter... since then, I havent been able to find that article and also know its. We can't find anything on this guy.

I think it's a given that someone who bought expensive high-powered weapons and was a high-roller in the casinos would get the authorities' attention. Also, some reports of suspicious activity -- but I've seen nothing expanding on that. So, yeah, I expect he was on their radar. At the very least.

So now Campos was shot BEFORE the shooting began.

Not even sure where to put this they just had another press conference and they are now saying the security guard was shot before the crowd shooting started so how could they not stop him!

Las Vegas news conference just said the security guard "Jesus Campos" was shot BEFORE Paddock started shooting at the concert !!

They are changing the timelines.
