We've had plenty of deaths in the UK from terrorist attacks - no guns required.
Saying American citizens who support the constitution have blood on their hands is misguided.

I refuse to accept the premise of your statement.

It would be like saying all Britain's have the blood of all the victims who died of knife attacks on their hands.

Guns DO NOT kill people as they are inanimate objects.

People kill people.

so kindly take your view of our 2nd amendment and place it where the sun doesnt shine. If it was not for Britain we would not have a 2nd amendment so by extension of your "argument" britains are to blame for this attack and have blood on their hands as well.

Guns also killed the assailant.

A passport and a sh!t load of weaponry and ammo. Usual check in there in the US of A?

Have the NRA come out yet and said that if all the concert goers were armed with AR’s they could have taken him out?

For all those who died, your blood is on the hands of everyone of your countrymen who support the right to carry arms.

How many mass shootings in the UK? How many anywhere else where gun control is rigorously enforced. Yes you get the odd incident, but nothing like this. This is a sickness at the heart of the USA that YOU must all address.

So, the victims who died, some may have supported the right to carry, their own blood is on their hands?

Really? Leave the BS out of this right now. For shame.

So a 64 year old white male, former accountant, licensed hunter (in Alaska) and pilot (all according the latest from MSM), checked into a Las Vegas hotel (how else would he gain access to an upper story sniper’s nest?) with an automatic weapon (or a modified semi-automatic weapon), with hundreds of rounds of ammo, and proceeds to kill tens of people and injuring possibly hundreds more.

I think it might be safe to conjecture that this was not a “spur of the moment” attack. This is on an entirely different level than some jihadi renting a truck and mowing down the first large group of pedestrians he sees. This, is much more sinister.

This was carefully planned based on the availability of the target (the massed crowd at a specific event), the pre-planning of the vantage point from which the attack ensued, and the preparations necessary to support the method of attack (a large amount of ammo on hand).

This is not a random psycho killer.

Really not wanting to get into the pro-gun anti-gun debate but since we took action after Dumblane when was there last a mass shooting on the kind of scale that is a regular occurrence in the states.

I agree that this is about more than just the second amendment.

Also 9/11 was the biggest terrorist attack in history. not a single gun involved, so I don't think discussing this in the scope of terrorism is really relevant rather I think we should be talking about it in terms of mass murder shootings.

Not really because there are plenty of white guys who became sympathisers with the radicals on the left, just as there are radicals on the right.

Like I said 'it could just be a random act'.

Guess we won't find out till all the background checking is complete

If that is the case, politically motivated would apply. I'm not reserving my judgement just yet however.

People already trying to pin it on Muslims. Disgusting.

The vast majority of times these acts are carried out by Muslims. Its almost a daily occurrence somewhere in the world. Don;t blame people for suspecting the most likely source.

In America most mass shootings are actually carried out by young white American Men who are not Muslim.

What you have said is factually incorrect, in America after these kinds of mass shootings the perp is almost always not Muslim. Now sure you could point to fort hood as a bit of a exception and I am sure there are others but in general Muslims are not responsible for mass shootings in America.

Yeah, you're correct too bad people can't leave the political aspects out of this tragedy. Especially this early on.

Terrorist attacks are one thing. This is entirely different. Trying to equate the two is misguided.

Would you like to tot up how many killed by such actions in the uk this year compared to say, oh, how many have died from gun crime in say Chicago alone.

If citizens don’t do the right thing and persistently cling to stupidity, this will happen again and again - which, of course, it will.

I'm sorry, I just don't buy this. I was thinking more attacks in general, not just shootings. However, considering all the gang violence, I seriously doubt white males are the prime shooters in the country.

There have been around 23 attacks by Muslims in the us since 2013.....

That didn't take long. We're always told not to blame groups of people for the actions of one nutjob, but, as usual, that doesn't apply to millions of law-abiding gun owners.

This type of rhetoric doesn't nothing but make the situation worse and make it more difficult to address some of the issues that do exist.

why would someone that says

Married to my lovely wife Marilou. Love my kids and grandchildren

in his instagram account page do something like that

The even more strange thing is that the woman he was a 'companion' and 'roommate' with and the police named was a Marilou Danley, whose husband on her FB pages does not look like the shooter???

Her FB has been deleted.

Yeah, two different men: companion(BF) Paddock and husband Danley. Maybe it's domestic violence turned into a mass shooting over that?

So, maybe she really did warn people, as the Sky News eyewitness had claimed.

Reports say he has a criminal record, nothing further release yet that I know of. Wonder if Nevada has a public court repository?

Ok, if you're right... then I am wrong.

Still... a mass shooting event over a wife seeing another guy?? I doubt that.
