Active Shooter Las Vegas, Mandalay Bay

A friend of mine who lives in Las Vegas is posting on social media that there is an active shooter right now. Many shots being fired from the Mandalay into crowds, it seems.

Does anyone else have info - I am not sure where to find it.

(Sorry for the minimal content, mods, I won't complain if this is taken down, I just hoped to request if others can get more on this).

Wow, possible car bombs, multiple locations, not looking good....... prays for vegas

so sad, I'm sure vegas authorities have prepared for such an event with so many soft targets around. Hoping they resolve this quickly.

edit to say: That that would be a very hard place to deal with coordinated shooters and they will be spread thin, really rough situation. Once again, hope that they are able to resolve this quickly.

A quick Google says there's a country music festival going on on the Strip. I don't think it's entirely out of the question that it could certainly just be drunk people with guns being retards.

Officers have reportedly been shot as well. This was happening at the Mandalay Hotel and Music Festival. Reports by some saying shots fired from the hotel?

Where'd you read that? I didn't read that on the Las Vegas news channel website I just closed (Fox, I think?)
