I posted this earlier. Read this through.

www.mercurynews.com...

Mandalay Bay is listed as 1 of the 23 out of the 27 major Casinos in Vegas that don't have hallway, elevator landing, or stairwell cameras.

From your link:

Yet The Associated Press found that 23 of the 27 major Strip casinos have no surveillance in hotel hallways or elevator landings. All but four of the 27 hotels are owned by MGM Resorts International, Caesars Entertainment Corp., Las Vegas Sands Corp. or Wynn Resorts Ltd.

The Associated Press arrived at the tally by interviewing casino officials and visiting the hotels that wouldn’t comment. Only Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood, the MGM Grand and Tropicana Las Vegas monitor the halls above the gambling floor.

“People have a false sense of safety when they go to a casino,” security consultant Fred Del Marva said. “You think, ‘I’m going to Bellagio, they have 2,000 surveillance cameras, so I’m going to be safe.’ And you’re wrong. The level of security at the hotel level is zero.”

Since that article was published in 2016, it's possible that it HELPED PADDOCK choose Las Vegas, over Chicago or Boston.

That's kind of what I was thinking too.

Judging by the interior of dudes room that place is super outdated. I would be appalled if someone showed me that room, it looks tacky AF. I've stayed in much nicer places (albeit it smaller) for under $150 a night. I suppose they weren't in Vegas, though if anything that should make them cost MORE in my opinion.

I was surprised people were saying that everything would be monitored. I figured they only really care about the actual casino portion, maybe the elevators.

Kinda seems like overkill to me. Looks like a heavy brass fitting on the end.

How did he get those curtains out of the way while he was shooting, if he was standing back from the window?

Have you never opened curtains before? Bloody hell!

P

Well, yeah, but wasn't the window he was shooting from in the middle of that wall bank of windows? Those are floor to ceiling (or top of the windows) curtains. So unless each window had its own individual curtain, and most don't, he would have had to open all of the curtains from the wall up to the window he was shooting from. So to avoid detection he stands back from the window...but has half of the damn bank of floor to ceiling curtains opened......

Police say that Paddock chose the room because it overlooked the venue. ATS members said earlier in the week that this suite was made available to him for free, because he's a high-roller. I guess it doesn't matter at this point.

The last time I stayed in a hotel room that looked like that, was in 1986 Las Vegas. It's torn down now, thankfully.

Las Vegas Shooter Stephen Paddock Tried to Buy Illuminating Tracer Rounds Before Massacre

The gunman responsible for the worst shooting attack in modern U.S. history made attempts to buy ammunition that illuminated after it was fired, a U.S. official briefed on the ongoing investigation told CNN. S

tephen Paddock tried to make the purchase at a gun show in Phoenix weeks before the massacre in Las Vegas. He was not able to do so because the seller of the equipment was out of stock, the official said.

The bullets, known as tracer ammunition, emit a pyrotechnic charge when fired and leave a trail of illumination. Paddock may have been planning to use the bullets as a guide to where his shots were ending up as he fired into the Vegas night, the official told the broadcaster.
To see if he struck his target/targets?

I'm with you Judy. I think it's highly possible there are cameras in the hallways even though they say there are not.

The same reason he didn't buy those "tracer" bullets, is why he stood back from the window while shooting bullets down on the crowd. Both would make his location easier to find.

Maybe this madman really did plan on getting away.

Yes I know why he supposedly stood back from the windows while shooting. I'm just saying that he would have had to open up half a wall of curtains if he was standing back

Mentioning the mystery woman-as shared on ATS previously www.abovetopsecret.com...-, police say prostitute:

Hunt for Vegas killer's call-girl: Police say mystery woman seen with gunman before the massacre was a PROSTITUTE

A US official says investigators believe the Las Vegas shooter may have hired a prostitute in the days before the shooting, and they are interviewing other call girls as they look for clues into his motive. The official said Friday that prostitutes are among the hundreds of leads they are pursuing as part of their investigation into Stephen Paddock.

Receipt would make sense then as opposed to him ordering extra food especially if he was around town probably eating out at various places and other-one such as the reported senior center. Would assume more than just what was shared by member here, as to more people spotted Paddock and the woman in question. Or women maybe?

One suggested motive that was put forward by a reporter on Friday was that Paddock was 'obsessed' with the month of October however McMahill could not give any credit to the suggestion that it is what may have caused the killings.

Obsessed huh enough to shoot out in the month? Need more info. What about the claims of plans in Sept.? Seems to allude to otherwise as linked to the shooting.

Paddock lived nearby in Mesquite. he was a heavy gambler who stayed frequently in the hotels, often getting rooms
"comped"

Would have been able to scope out hotel operations and security

How come FBI hasn't once questioned why supposedly this guy had no feelings and could gun down people yet spared the life of his girlfriend and even sent her money? Most mass shooters kill their wives, girlfriends families and then go on a one last blaze of glory

Which is exactly why I started this thread back on Tuesday.

As you state, this mass murderer fits no existing profile.

just saw something don't recall seeing it or reading about it here, or anywhere else. thought this thread is as good as any to post this. if you look at his neck in image with his eyes closed, you see what looks like a tattoo of the number 13. it is every image of this i looked at.

Stephen Paddocks  getting a tattoo, yeah, he's gettin' ink done
He asked for a 13 but they drew a 31
Friends say he's trying too hard and he's not quite hip
But in his own mind, he's the, he's the dopest trip

Why was she in a wheel chair?

Too make herself look old and frail. Too make her look like she couldn't possibly be involved because, you know, she's in a freaking wheelchair

if you check my posting history you'll see i've posted pretty fly quite a few times .it's one of my favorite offspring song's. it was one of the first things that came my mind when i saw it.

i decided not to tie it to this cause frankly, i thought that would have been tasteless. not that i'm saying your are, just that to me it was.

ETA: matter of fact while before typing, opened new tab and played the video.
