We dont know cause of death for those killed. Its possible some fatalities occurred when there was a rush to safety ny being trampled / crushed etc by people fleeing.

I wouldn't argue that at all...that's a fair assessment.

You're probably right but goodness, there have been a few white guys turn. We have people who have become one in the last several years or so in our gov like a CIA director I think. Without the beard either he is not likely to be an ISIS member. Probably a hater who wants something bad besides the mass murder he just committed.

I just found out about this thanks to a news alert saying that 50 people have been killed.

This entire thing sounds just horrific, my thoughts with those affected.

I am sure in the next couple of weeks this story could be dominating the headlines, I would expect sadly that the fatality count will go up. So with that said for me, I really don't think now is the time for debating the cause of this evil act, there just seems to be too little information right now to say what has motivated this attack just like I also don't think claiming that its all the fault of the second amendment is going to help matters.

I am sure all of those debates and discussions are going to be happening in the next few weeks. I think for now what is important is to stick to the facts rather than get drawn into speculation and the usual left vs right dogma of debate.

So at last night, 64 year old Stephen Paddock opened fired on a open-air country concert from the 32nd floor of the Mandaly Hotel, killing at least 50 people, including 2 off-duty police officers and injuring up to 200 other people. He was then killed by police.

His wife is indeed called Marilou... I wonder is that Marilou Danley and she uses a different surname? Or whether there has been a horrible mix up?? The husband of Marilou Danley does not look like the shooter based on the FB pages!

I predicted it 2 weeks ago.

I wasn't very precise in my OP but a few posts later I said 'Vegas' is a posibility.

They did the same thing for the 9/11 jumpers, all murdered by the terrorists.

Automatic weapons are largely illegal. There are some that are legal, some made before like 1986 are legal, but those are rare and in high demand so one would cost you about $30,000. Also you would have to work your way through loads of red tape and extensive background checks.

The more likely scenario is that he used an illegal automatic weapon.

I'm sorry I'm getting numb with each mass killing. It's getting worse and worse. What the hell do you do? I can't imagine the families behind those 50+ who lost their lives and what they are going through including those who don' know and are waiting. What hell.

They took our guns in Aus of 1996 because a single gunman killed 36 people.
We'll America, I think you just broke our 21 year record.
