Thanks guys! He didn't have a stroke, but could have if he waited any longer. His kidneys are bad and there could be other things going on. Going to try and lie down. I haven't slept at all. Very scared. Keep the prayers coming!

So sorry to read about Mark... you are both in my prayers !

Called the nurses station and he is on fluids. Blood pressure is coming down, but he is still vomiting. He was vomiting all last night and still at it. My friend will be picking me up after her shower so I can go see him.

Skiddy, Mark is a long time diabetic and has had high blood pressure and high cholesterol for many years.

I am numb and scared to death right now.

Thank you to everyone for your concern and support. Please keep praying for Mark.

Leaving now.

I still want to see people coming in here and having fun while I'm away. Don't feel that it will be inappropriate. Love you all!

Well i don't have anything fun to say at the moment so i will go with neutral. Drinking tea right now. Green mint tea. Quite good. I am more of a coffee drinker, but i don't think coffee and tea should be compared that way, Both have their times and their places, in my realm.

It is getting midnight right about now here and i just slept for about 4 hours. Now i will most likely be a few hours awake. I heard that our ancestors slept that way, like 4 sleep, 2 awake, 4 sleep, then the whole daytime awake hunting and such. Everyone can not sleep at the same time since someone has to guard the camp / cave and keep the fire lit. I think i have some caveman DNA.

I heard a radio story about that too. Kinda annoys me that we force the current "sleep all night/ awake all day " schedule. I stress when I wake up and then I'll toss and turn for 2 hours, reminding myself how I am losing sleep and how bad it is for my health. So, less sleep and stress added!

Chels (may I call you that?) I all ways mix up the d and h.
Fin,
I agree with both of you. Our sleep patterns are no longer natural. We are forced to abide by rules that lead to illness.
We are encouraged to abuse ourselves. We take pride in being busy and exhausted.
But what can we do. Sleep Well.

I pray all is well as it can be.

Be kind to yourself, Promise?

This is out of your hands, you can't fix this. All you can do is be your loving gentle self.
God is the miracle maker all we can do is sit and hold hands.

Hugs Dear

Wis, that made me cry. Thank you!

Hello Fin, Chels and Sheye!

Update...His blood pressure went up to 300 and then back down to over 200. They are having a hard time getting him stabilized and still working on it. His Kidney specialist will be seeing him tomorrow. Something showed up in a brain scan. More tests needed and this all takes time. I visited today and at least he was talking and smiling, but I know he must be scared.

I posted about Mark on facebook asking people not to tie up my phone lines at this time and 5 minutes later a friend of his calls. I come home and there is a message from someone else asking me to call them. I get messages from well meaning people, but asking me to call and let them know what is going on. I said right in my first post about him that I would update when I could. I called close family members, but need some rest. I updated so that will have to suffice.

Kept this window open while I called Mark. The brain scan showed that it was a mild stroke. He has his strength and it doesn't seem to have affected anything. His blood pressure is still coming down. Thank you all for your kind words and prayers. Keep them coming my Sunshines!

It is easy to neglect to eat and drink enough water whilst worrying about a loved one in hospital.

I hope you have friends looking out for you, as you look out for Mark ...

Still sending positive thoughts ...

Aww Wis, Wise Woman of the Shed lands, thank you! Love you too!

Sir Timely nekkid Dave, eating is never a problem for me. I had comfort food today, you know the unhealthy but delicious kind. My friend and I had KFC chicken and later in the day a banana split.

Drinking water now though. Thanks for the reminder!

That is good to hear! I just cooked some chicken too. We don't have KFC in Finland but i just roasted some sliced chicken on the frying pan in oil, when they were done i put a taco seasoning mix on top of them and plenty of cream that had cheese in it. Ate with good appetite with jasmine rice.

Now coffee, music and internet.

Others, how are you doing? i hope all is good or at least bearable.

Stress is a magic diet pill for me. If I could bottle it up I could make lots of money! After all 4 kids, when one wants to lose the weight but not do the work, the crap hit the fan and I lost it all due to stress. I think my metabolism goes into overdrive and I have no desire to eat.

Glad the stroke was minor and that things seem to be ok. Praying.

I talked to my sister in law the other day and got some great news. I'm going to be an uncle again. They'd been trying for years and given up, only for her to become pregnant with my niece last year. Now another is on the way. I'm so happy.
