Can you explain NASCAR's decline in popularity too?

Certainly there is no national anthem controversy with them.

The bottem line is football is losing popularity largely because the younger generations just do not care for it. The under 30 crowd finds other ways to spend their time and money.

eSports are more popular than ever these days with the rise of Twitch.

the numbers this week will start to tell. Local bar is done with the NFL Sundays they can afford to take a year off the owner said. Stuff will still be on just not the NFL.

I'm done and most of the people i work with are saying it at least now. Time will tell.

Monday Night Football viewership was up 65% I understand. Yeah, we'll see.

Ref

Not like NBC would have any interest in skewing these numbers lol

Hmmm ... any proof of that?

Here you go. Last numbers I saw were higher.

I'm sure you will disregard this because it doesn't fit your confirmation bias.

Misleading. Cowboys are the biggest market in the NFL. They compared to week 3 last year which had significantly less markets.

Not to mention NASCAR's overwhelming honoring and respect to our National Flag.

Might want to consider that the Dallas cowboys played in that game. They tend to draw the highest ridership.

Is that seven confederate flags and 0 US flags? ETA: No wait, I think there are 9 of them.

Yeah ... I understand their owner and team also took a knee too!

To all the leftists who think this won't affect the NFL, time to put your money where your mouth is.

I will bet $5 against anyone who is willing to take this bet.

I guarantee NFL viewership will be down 5% by week 5.

I certainly don't see the Stars and Stripes.

The only one that is remotely a US flag is the Gadsden flag.

What's a leftist, in your august opinion?

Let's define our terms, shall we?

I mean ... you do know, right?

Maybe you should "protest" and assault the people who own those flags.

As a Leftist, I couldn't care less whether it affects the NFL or not. Nor do I care about silly bets made by anonymous people online, thinking it somehow will help their silly argument.

Aren't you shocked that NASCAR is not showing proper respect to our hallowed Flag and all the millions of honored dead it represents?

Shame on you sir or madam; Shame.

So .. leftists are anyone who disagrees with your unsupported opinions?

Got it; count me as a very very STRONG leftist then.

Your description seems very limited though; I'm not sure you've thought it through.

You are part of the majority my friend.

Over 70% of NFL fans were against the protests last I saw.

The best spin the MSM can put on it is that a majority of the people polled don't think the players should be fired. And I agree, they shouldn't. But fans expect sports to be apolitical, and fines or some other sort of disciplinary actions should be instituted, or else within a few years the NFL is going to be looking up at the NBA, MLB, and even the NHL with envy, pining for the good old days.
