I think the bosses have a right to penalize for this, too. I guess they just have to decide for themselves whether they support this protest or not, and how much financial risk they are willing to take if they do support it.

When add revenue slips far enough you will see the athletes stand. The NFL is not about football.

Who the hell just called me a Nazi?!

No one.

I misread a post and assumed that the poster was calling anyone critical of the football players protest, a Nazi.

My fault.

I apologize.

Good riddance. I'll be enjoying watching my team play.

Why are you making this personal?

There was no National Anthem until 1931.

Kneeling is a sign of reverence.

Of all the manufactured outrage nonsense, this has got to take the cake.

Besides, is anyone "shocked" the Mr. Trump doesn't hold with Americans exercising their Constitutional rights?

Go Hawks!

Bennett is engaging in a peaceful protest; heeding his conscience by engaging his 1st Amendment rights as any American should be both willing and able to do.

Also, as is customary when mentioning Bennett, I must say; would you look at those shoulder pads.

He can engage it on his own time.
Not in an NFL uniform.
Not at the job.

Plus that mental midget, said something something white racist cops, when he was arrested in Vegas, for acting like a idiot.

But the cop was Mexican.

People making a big deal out of someone else's freedom of expression. That's the real issue here.

Yeah. Like end zone celebration rules.

Exactly.

Trump is a major d bag. Jeff Lurie and Goodall just met with several players active in the community. Malcom Jenkins literally works with police and community activists to help the situation and create dialogue between officers and the community.

So trumbo comments are just more celebrity nonsense.

This is what happens when you allow celebrities to run the country. They speak from ignorance.

It's definitely manufactured outrage. I could understand some of the blowback if the players were wiping their noses with the flag, like this great patriot Chris "All American" Weidman did:

But getting mad b/c someone is silently protesting a song? LOL I'm convinced that they just want obedience from the players. And yes, Weidman's actual nickname is "the All American" (linky link).

I wonder how Donnie would like it if Jerry Jones or Robert Kraft went off like, "Boycott Trump businesses until he's no longer an asshat"?

And the Flag is about the Country, and the Country is about We the People ... some of whom are chasing to make a statement about something they find important.
