My grandfather killed Nazis in WW2 and he earned medals doing so. I am glad he is not around today to see people justifying and supporting Nazis behavior in his own country.

Agreed, yes. The pol rumour about the driver being a leftist appeared very quickly here on ATS, and gained an awful lot of stars. And then when it was proven to be a lie... silence, and just yet more people trying to justify Nazis and hate crimes and white power.

the women who was killed was a resident of charlottesville, the city council who decided to remove the statue were voted in by the residents of charlottesville, the stutue was in a park owned by charlottesville..
but... it seems that the person who murdered this women was a resident of ohio...
who wasn't being represented by the city council, who would have probably never have visited this park if it wasn't for the rally... who marched through the streets of her town with a mob of other torch carrying people shouting this is our town now!!

continue on now with your bs on freedom of speech.... just realize, someday it might be the town or city that you are living in that finds itself being mobbed by a bunch of out of state protestors and counter protesters ready to rumble...
and it might be your neighbor or maybe even a member of your family that ends up paying the price for your freedom of speech!!!

the locals more than likely wouldn't have been mowing down their neighbors like this, but hey, this guy wasn't a local, he knew danged well there was no one in that crowd that he knew or cared about... it 's not their city, so why care if some businesses get burned to the ground, they won't ever be back to visit them anyways....

IMO you're either American or you're a nazi. You can't be both in this equation.

Who deems what is Nazi, or what is White Supremacy? Many things that are fact have been stated in the last couple of days, but were deemed "Nazi", just because the other side didn't like it. Or even if not fact, but just a differing opinion, the other side can claim "Nazi" and then "do away" with the person. And what exactly do you mean by "do away with", murder?

Those are a group of UVA students. The banner they're standing with says "UVA Students Act Against White Supremacy." You can see your subject in the right side of the frame.

They were completely surrounded by torch bearing Nazis and outnumbered what? 20-to-1? You can see exactly how this turned out here.

I've tracked down the woman in the lower right of the photo on Twitter and DM'd her to confirm that he is not part of the neo-Nazi horde, unfortunately she couldn't identify him (she's not a UVA student though).

All of you have been played by the media. I would say it was sad but it has been like this for a long time.

You're playing yourself right now by desperately looking for a way to convince yourself and others that a neo-Nazi rally wasn't exactly what it was. It wouldn't matter even if there were a token black Trumpkin neo-Nazi sympathizer in attendance. That wouldn't change *anything*.

I can't believe that you're acting as a neo-Nazi sympathizer. Politics are politics but really, wtf?
