Well, carrying a Nazi flag is a pretty good indicator ...

I agree on that point. So is that the measuring stick then, you have to be carrying a Nazi flag?

What are you looking for ... a checklist?

I just think that if we are going to take away people's constitutional rights, or "do away with" these people entirely (whatever that is supposed to mean?), then yeah there should probably be some type of guidelines for those actions.

I haven't seen anyone here advance the idea of some sort of vigilante violence against anyone; did you?

There have been people who have spoken directly against the violence and against a set of violent ideologies.

Ultimately, I'm not sure what you're talking about ... criminals would be afforded their rights within the justice system.

We can hope, but it's a little hard when you have folks running around saying it was "just about a statue" or that they didn't see anything Nazi related, or that they don't see how people can think this had anything to do with white nationalism.

And getting dozens of stars for saying so.

Yes, I have seen many posters say these people should have no rights, that if you're a Nazi you're not an American citizen (which would deny them their constitutional rights), that they should be "done away with" - what exactly that means I don't know because the poster never answered me. That's what prompted my post. I've said it many times, but I'll say it again, I don't like Nazis, they are ignorant clowns. But they are still citizens with rights.

but it was just about a statue..
a statue that happened to be sitting in a city park, that that city's council decided to be remove...
that's what it was, in it's barest essence.
all the rest is just how people from the four corners of our country decided to use that little statue to promote their own agendas!!!

This is an obvious 'stage play' event--just so much social engineering for the sheeple. Both sides are controlled by the covert operators.

It was never "just about a statue."

The statue issue was hijacked by known and recognized white nationalists months ago. Pretending that that's not what happened is ignorant and nothing more than an attempt to minimize that fact.

I see posters say the same (and worse) about a lot of groups and people ... I haven't seen that in this thread, perhaps I missed it.

You're concerned about the civil rights of Americans who follow Nazi ideology? That's awesome.

However, I'm not sure that it's the sheer fact of being Nazi (or White Supremacist/Nationalist/Christian Identity, etc.) (spouting the ideology, carrying the flag, using the symbols ... those things are obnoxious to many, but not illegal at least in the US) that is a criminal offense ... as far as I've seen here, it is the concomitant calls and incitements to violent actions that is cited as criminal.

And it obviously is, and does not in any way fall under the protections of speech or assembly.

It happened on the same page that you first replied to me on (among dozens of other pages in this thread), perhaps you did just miss it.

"You're concerned about the civil rights of Americans who follow Nazi ideology? That's awesome."

I'm concerned with the Civil Rights of all Americans. Yes, I do believe that is awesome.

The Nazis should be given the same rights they afford Jews and people of color. You hate your fellow Americans .....and...

Well, thankfully the US isn't as you would want it to be, we aren't Nazi Germany, we won't send people to concentration camps or the gas chambers. If they commit a crime, they will be punished accordingly, as it should be.

I have to agree with that. This just smells of George Soros....probably in cahoots with Terry McAuliffe to get this rhetoric to a fever pitch level, so Soros and pals can continue their drive to dissolve the Trump administrations efforts to put America First.

George Soros wants to rule the world with his Open Society and open borders bullspit. I'm sure President Trump's plans to "Make America Great Again" doesn't set well with Soros. He needs to stir the sh*tpot, just like Obama did within his first six months of office by horning in on a local police issue in Cambridge, MA.

There is an agenda and somebody is stirring up the masses big time to manipulate them, hype up the rhetoric, and paint anybody that believes in the right to assemble and free speech, as Nazi sympathizers.

Watch this coming week how CNN, MSNBC, and network covers this. Pay attention to the pretzel twisting of the so-called journalists. You will see it.

I bet msm will be "analyzing and dissecting" this till they find a way to say that the policies for putting America First is tantamount to anti-immigration, or some other bs "interpretation" that paints Trump as some kind of white nationalist.

I'm sick of the media, and their lies and distortion. And, I wish young adults could see how they are being used and manipulated for the agenda of the Soros-types of the world.

the statue is just a statue...
some people hate the statue because they see it as representing something they hate..
other people love the statue because they see it as representing something they love..
without the statue, the people who hated it would still hate that which they saw it as representing..
without the statue, the people who loved it would still love that which they saw it as representing.
it is just a statue, weather it exists or doesn't is rather irrelevant.
it wasn't worth someone being murdered over it!!!

edited this to add...
we should burn the statue, I mean isn't this what the bible says we should do with idols???

As the official start of the “Unite the Right” rally kicked off in Charlottesville, Virginia, former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke said the gathering of white supremacists, neo-Nazis and far-right individuals pointed to a future fulfillment of President Donald Trump’s “promises.”

“This represents a turning point for the people of this country,” said Duke in video uploaded to Twitter by Indianapolis Star photojournalist Mykal McEldowney. “We are determined to take our country back. We are going to fulfill the promises of Donald Trump. That’s what we believed in, that’s why we voted for Donald Trump. Because he said he’s going to take our country back. That’s what we gotta do.”

HuffPo (It's a quote, Fox will be the same)

I don't agree that Trump is, per se, a White Supremacist. However, it seems that they do.

Now, that said ... THIS IS NOT ABOUT TRUMP! THIS IS NOT WHAT WE NEED TO FOCUS ON!

This is about the advocation of political violence on American soil.

So now Richard Spencer is paid by Soros? Based on what exactly? A desire to believe that everything bad in the world stems directly from George Soros and is a plot against conservative Americans?

That's just irrational denial.

Sadly, many of these groups are hyper-Fundamentalist Christian.

They justify their hatred with the words of the Bible.
