I love being different than women I thought that was the point, it's unnatural for us to be the same.

Just for the record, my wife can out shoot me with a hand gun.
But not a rifle. No clue why.

One day she called me from work and said meet her at the range, she'll bring pizza.
Damn she's sexy...

I read the link and can see your point but....
History is filled with stories of women in combat, not from the USA though.
I remember reading about some Russian women during WW2, that helped put a hurting on the Germans.
But those might be extraordinary cases.
I would imagine that in a real fight or die firefight, something clicks inside you while you try to survive but it remains to be seen if that will happen with US women combat soldiers.
I am not disputing the findings, I just think there is no way of knowing for sure until the SHTF and they go in to combat.

Remains to be seen. Remains of the day.

Idk, my sister is in shape and had to call men to change her car battery because she was too weak to carry about half a mile. No man alive can't lift a car battery for half a mile. I wouldn't feel safe having women in my squad because you never know which situation they will get you killed in.

**Tank runs out of fuel**
"Go get me that 250 lb oil drum across the street!"
Woman tugs on oil drum, barely able to drag it... gets shot b/c she's taking forever.
Everyone dies.
The end.

I'd rather just have a normal man in my squad where I don't have to worry about things like that when I have 1000000 other things to worry about in a life or death situation

Respectfully, I don't think that point carries weight in this argument. I think it can be applied to both men and women.

Now if you are saying if it kicks in in a man vs woman fight for both... and you had to put money down.. most pick the man. Not that it would be the correct outcome since there are too many variables there

Exactly.
We think so alike in many situations, but are yet so different.

Look, its obvious your confused at how things work around here. Women aren't equal to men, at ANYTHING, except those roles women have done traditional. I know it sucks but that's the way its been so that's the way it is and that's the way it will be, forever.

Now that the sarcasm is out of the way, it's funny how other military's around the world have no issue in integrating women in, some are looking forward to it.

America? Where arguing about semantics. The same crap people are saying about women, were said about black men when they tried/where serving.

I think those Russians likely had little choice. Fight or die.

Look at the Kurdish, Yazidi and Christian women who are fighting against ISIS right now. They don't have a choice. It's fight or die.

No one says women cannot fight or shoot when they have to, but the US military is not in the position of having to take and use whatever fighters they have to hand. They are an all volunteer force that can afford to pick and choose and assemble the best fighting force trained the way they want them trained. They are not a force assembled in the moment out of necessity.

I have absolutely no doubt that if the US were invaded, there would be plenty of women fighting for the country.

This is probably going to make some of your screech and go into convulsions on the ground as it may shatter your weakened mind.

Basically what it comes down to people is that women's minds and body are not designed for this. As much as I love women, and trust me I do I have to face the facts at some point and realize that men and women are built very different both mentally and physically. It's not a bad thing. It's a good thing because I don't want to date/ marry a woman who acts like a dude. I want a woman who is a woman damnit.

Call me sexist for pointing out the obvious and having more traditional values.

I guess you don't work for Google then...or any more, while I guess that Google have much better stats than the a closed shop.

There are other positions to be filled other than infantry though. Not everyone is a foot soldier. The military has lots of things you can be.

there is great rolls for women, such as recon

Women have always fought for their country, whether as spies or pilots transporting vital equipment. Transgender will be no less valuable. Just build the damn washrooms, damn you got the money so put it where it is needed most.

I'm well aware, however the thread seemed to focus on women and marksmanship.

As far as Im concerned, there are plenty of women that are fully equipped to handle plenty of military roles, including combat roles, depending on the individual in question.

Israel is a good example of this.

Because I can lift a car battery for half a mile. Moreover, my squad wouldn't have to constantly worry about random situations like that popping up where I might get them killed. They already got plenty of other things to worry about.

Or whatever they qualify for. It would seem to me that certain people excel in some areas and some in others. The best way to fill positions is by merit and qualifications and where they will work best. After boot of course. Like when your first positioned.

This experiment was done wrong and incomplete. It failed to account for an all-female control group and draws from two different sets of experience levels in regards to the sex of participants.

However, at this point, it’s certainly worth noting that the male participants involved in the experiment had previously served in combat units, while the female participants came directly from noncombat jobs.

I agree with the conclusion based on my personal beliefs and experience. But the conclusion needs to be drawn from a more comprehensive study that accounts for these factors, otherwise it is bias IMO.

Israel is a good example of this.

Israeli service is mandatory, and therefore I disagree. I hardly ever see female IDF in the streets or combat ops in past videos. Where are they?? I assume most are on desk jobs, with your occasional border crossing/check point duty. Look at any of CNN's or anybody else's videos of IDF soldiers in videos and tell me how may men you see compared to women???

I would think they would be equally represented as it is mandatory, and yet I mostly only ever see men.

Because I can lift a car battery for half a mile and I'm not going to get my teammates killed in an unexpected situation for being physically incapable.

One plus does not equal complete rejection of a variation of man/woman.
