So how does trash talk for a meaningful conversation?

Well "trash talk" is "tough" and being "tough" is manly...and being "manly" is prime-choice, yo!

We all need to hit the gym more, shoot guns more, beat up weak people, fart, guzzle cheap PBR and belch more.

You know, all the stuff that makes a "real man" a "man".

Stupid post.

And you made the entire conversation much more intelligent with the two words "stupid post".

It's a stupid post.
Generalizations not grounded in reality.

It's all the fault of MSM and TPTB.
I'd rather go back to the time when men were men, women were woman, and those that didn't fit either category were mentally ill.

How far back in time would that be? Are you sure you want to go back in time? Taxes were a lot higher back then...

Depending on how far back you want to take us women might not be able to vote, gay people might be outright killed and people might be owning slaves.

Came of age in the 90's? And were "scappy?" I was fighting in the desert in the early 9 0's when you and your boy-toys were having slap-fights outside the 7-11. Lol, all perspective son.

the op is far from a melt down in fact it's a well thought out opinion that is loaded with humor.
judging from your responses to him and others, i would say that you just maybe be one of those women that brow beat their better half and got triggered from reading truth and seeing you and yours.😈💀😤

Well everyone freaks out in and displays their "triggering" in their own ways.

Some write volumes and volumes of text.

Sounds like me and my buds getting ready for a night of 9-ball, cigars, and drinks.

During the actual game play, the conversation shifts to talking about how sore our backs are and how we need new eyeglasses.

Well, I'm accused of being effeminate. Really I'm just polite at first with strangers--wait til you get to know me, then I'm a certified A-hole--

I think anybody who has to put labels like "pretty boy," "beta," or even "cuck" is the one who isn't totally sure of themselves.

I never had to use labels before to rank my masculinity..it's stupid.

You act like a girl at first so they'll hang around to then treat them like an A-hole?

Being polite / courteous / respectful isn't lady culture.

Being thin skinned hair trigger drama queens is (especially when we're talking about a generation of metrosexuals).

Yup. The problem nowadays is that only SOME men are men, but so are a lot of the chicks.

Classic Male P*ssification Syndrome. I have an old friend who swears it's because of all the hormones they give to all the livestock. Same reason that lots of girls get way bigger boobs at a much younger age than a few decades back.

As good an explanation as I have heard, I reckon.

Although, truth be told, I consider the boob deal to be a POSITIVE development, though.

Well, since this thread is about the attitude of generational cohorts...

I was raised by my grandparents and they taught me some old-fashioned politeness. You can call it girly if you want. I just call it common courtesy.

My point wasnt to go around being a dick to people, but that when an entire generation cant take a joke, cant take a criticism or insult in stride, cant respect their foes, etc and instead set about censoring comedy, putting trigger warning stickers on books they find offensive (which is everything) then welcome to the twilight zone of brainwashed mental midgetry.

I understand whole heartedly where you're coming from. I'm about to turn 40 and when 'we' were coming of age 20 years ago I can hear your sentiments all the way from the UK. No matter how broad the differences we're between the perceived top dogs and other labels, nothing...nothing was as broad ad it seems today. In comparison everyone at school was on the same level even though the usual 'jock/nerd' titles might have applied temporarily, yes there we're divisions and brutal fights but we all stood together as one. At that time most we're into either acid house, metal, grunge, goth or all of the above, but these we're THE divisions. No one cared about race or class as it meant # to us - if you were a cool person then you stood tall.

Today there is a gulf I cannot comprehend. Where on Earth did this come from?? I'm not sure about all your Star Trek stuff but I suppose it's an anology right. I'm a parent of two primary school kids now who are forming their own world regardless of us, so it's unnerving to see this hate, division, pussification and utter stupidity rearing it's spiteful head into the world. It was never invited and certainly doesn't have a free pass in my eyes. There is something intrinsically 'wrong' with the world where every thought and action is scrutinised beyound normal reasonable standards.

People need to to grow some balls and stand up because the world now is caught in an outright bullying circlejerk. Right now our kids are not involved but it's only a matter of time once they reach maturement and see the world for what it is.

Stand up and respect. It didn't use to be hard but I fear that is changing wholesale. Be courageous and do what's right by you, not what anyone else thinks.

It came from political correctness and a determination not to offend anyone in any way whatsoever.

BBC used to have a TV program called "Points of View". Viewers would write in and say whether they liked a program or not. Sometimes they complained that they found it "offensive". A comedy sketch would offend one segment of the population or another. Maybe it was disabled people, evangelical Christians, nurses, chefs, or call center staff.

Then the authorities were determined to stamp out racism in the 1970's - this originally started off with workplace recruitment (equal opportunities), then workplace environment (making offensive jokes, sexist comments, sexual harassment). Now it's evolved to any kind of statement involving basic colors, even if it doesn't involve people. Saying something "I've never seen one that white before" at a flower show, could get you banned from live broadcast forever.

Then they moved to making sure no-one said anything offensive at all. Even eating a piece of toast so that it resembled a hand-gun would violate a zero-tolarance policy. Or even two kids playing at "cowboys" pointing their fingers like guns would get them suspended, reported to the police, held in jail until their parents arrived.

Basically, a certain religious group/cultural Marxists determined to maintain their position at the top of the social pyramid by appointing themselves as supreme judges on moral judgements.
