I already know there are good people of Christian faith as well as others who have done marvelous works within the fields of science... and unfortunately they have been bashed and "debunked" concerning this topic ,on this thread.

Some of the atheists in these fields have much contempt for religion or " spiritualism " in dealing with these issues. These are the types who would love to charge parents with child abuse for teaching their children about Christianity. They exist.

Yes... agreed... some do.. there are always extreme cases of abuse in life... and that also includes the scientific fields regarding this topic.

You inspired me to look for a Christian psychologist's take on gender dysporia. I found this great article written by a Christian psychologist.

I'm sorry... but I'm not willing to purchase a subscription to read the entire arcticle.

This did catch my eye though... and it was obvious she was still having feelings of confusion, which tells you what?... he wasn't ready to transgender and was having regrets

Sara opened our first meeting by saying, “I may have sinned in the decisions I made; I’m not sure I did the right thing. At the time, I felt excruciating distress. I thought I would take my life. What would you have me do?” The exchange was disarming.

People want to die for all sorts of reasons... that can't be the reason we play with childrens hormones.

Who has been bashed and debunked in this thread? One single psychiatrist who has an anti gay agenda and pressured people who worked under him to conduct studies that reflect his confirmation bias. That's not good science. Real science is following the data to its conclusion whether that data suits your preconceived notions or not because knowing the real answers will lead you in new directions to research. I provided citations to support my position. That isn't bashing, it's telling the truth. And then you respond with conjecture and hyperbole because you want to be right, not because it's true. Instead of discussing the science and the facts, you've been complaining and making insinuations about anyone that believes something you do not and attempting to turn this into an anti-Christian narrative. I'm sorry, but in my opinion, that's intellectual dishonesty at its finest as you continue to malign, marginalize and stereotype anyone with a different perspective. And one that can be supported with facts at that.

If you want to discuss the paper cited in the OP which I have linked twice now, I'm happy to do so. If all you want to do is discuss how against Christianity scientists and researchers are, click the button to make a new thread. This isn't the place for it and all it does is derail legitimate conversation regarding the topic of this thread. I'm truly sort of that comes off as harsh, but I don't really want to derail this further with a religious debate. If you want to discuss the actual topic, great. I'm in. If you want to make thread of your own to talk about how maligned Christians are and how you're being attacked, I'm happy to discuss that in the proper forum. This isn't it though.

Who's playing with children's hormones? Cherry picking and quote mining...

The article clearly states that Sawyer didn't begin transitioning to Sara until they were an adult. Why do you insist on creating a strawman argument?

What do you mean cherry picking ? So often on this thread it has been said that the loving and right thing to do to a pubescent child that is convinced it is transgender, is to give them hormone blockers and essentially play around with their hormones.

The fact that sara didn't start transitioning until adulthood only goes to prove that if Sara is confused about her transition as an adult, how much more are young adults and children ?

I did not bring religion into this thread.. it filtered in , in a few ways, and quite a bit by people flinging my "stupid" religious beliefs at me for my so called bigotry and ignorance.

Religion is difficult to keep out of a thread where people are wanting you to accept what you believe are unhealthy or unatural ways to deal with gender confusion.

Geeez.... how many genders does science have it down to now ? It's ridiculous and makes a mockery of the scientific fields regarding gender dyshoria. It's a spin the wheel and see what you can be game.. no gender ? .. easy. Done!

Your lack of awareness is astounding.

And... all this transgender nonsense is indeed unnatural, unhealthy, and seeks to undermine the natural order.

The evidence has been presented multiple times in this thread alone. Your strawman analogy is ridiculous, but I'm pretty sure you already know that. There's no physical evidence of aliens living among us or hybridizing with humans. I can take a cheek swab or a blood sample and see if a person has any genetic issues underlying the individuals Transgendered status. There isn't anything of the sort to support your ludicrous analogy.

As to your closing statement, you obviously didn't read the linked article or the paper that it cites, let alone the multiple papers and links I and others have posted throughout the thread. Nobody chooses to be transgendered any more than someone chooses to be gay.

Do you believe someone chooses to be anorexic? Borderliners choose to enjoy self harming/mutilation? No their brain is wired that way. I feel obliged to clarify where I am coming from:
I grew up hippy with gay people, colourful people, and an environment where all those labels were irrelevant it's about the person not the gender, lifestyle, way to dress etc.
And even the old Greeks knew there are manly females (or females with manly qualities) like Athene, gods like hermaphrodite, all of this is not new.
What bothers me is the lack of self acceptance and self respect that makes them undergo mutilation of perfectly fine body parts, hormones possibly dangerous to the health of the individual and for what? You are who you are, you stay who you are and remember what people say about love?
You have to love yourself before someone else can love you. The sick part is not the woman feeling manly, or the man feeling like a jellyfish, the fixation on the reflection in the mirror is the problem. And the self harm that comes with it because you can't love yourself for who you are.

My sister had a lesbian friend who was very manly, always jeans never dresses, no make up, didn't care for pretty, loved sports, beer and hot ladies... and was beautiful, independent, self ironic, but proud of herself, healthy you know. Accepting and enjoying who she is. The way she is.
Why fixate on labels on superficial bs you can never satisfactorily change?

I'm basically saying gender is a fluid quality and the real issue are social issues in an oversexed society. The objectification of women, generation porn and all of that. The social role models of gender identification are still strong and wrong.
That's why people fixate on their appearance so much.
And to me fixation equals illness.

Self-flagellation is sick. No complaint from you on that as well. Most of what is shown on TV is overssexualizing the children and you choose to focus on the ant on an elephant. (Don't worry you're not the only one).
I've noticed that some posters (some know who I am talking about) have been focusing on the gnat on an elephant.
The odd part is that if what they are saying is true then that would be the opposite of what some posters are claiming which is that the TVs are confusing the kids to be the opposite sex.
