Oh I forgot to ask... did you download that PDF file and read that article?

I read enough of it to see that the transgender named Sara was having second or third doubts.. or maybe fourth doubts, and was perhaps regretting her decision .

Pretty much all I had to read to feel sorry for her and others like her. Didn't need to read more.

The Greeks. Sexual "oppression" was invented around the time of colonisation when people didn't want to live like the "wild humans". That's when we started to ascribe an "animal part of the self" to the human mind.
Which a civilised person has to control. More self control means more human.
Currently we're somewhere between uptight, entirely free and defensive, a crazy mixture with high potential for violence. But this transgender topic all the time and in the manner it is presented, is no help.
I don't know but someone tries to sell the ant as elephant.

You focused on that instead of a Christian psychiarist?

Just because he's Christian doesn't mean he is correct in his assessment .. thought we'd already established that on this thread. 🤔

How is that a deflection... I answered the questions honestly and on topic to what was asked.

I would add that I'm not sure if the OP will feel regrets in the future , but I would love to talk to her in 20
or 30 years. I wish her happiness and good health ,mentally and physically ,as well as emotionally .

I meant in the years ahead .. not just in 20 to 30 from now.( but are you just deliberately confusing my statement)

In 20 to 30 years from now .. I will most likely be in the spiritual realms , praying for souls.. so it will be all good.

The only thing I might regret in 20-30 years is smoking since I was 16, could see that being a problem eventually but I intend to try quitting again after this pack. I haven't taken my estrogen in about a month to reduce the risk of blot clot associated with smoking while taking estrogen. It's been messing with me, I get really sad without it sometimes and have mood swings where I will just cry out nowhere for no good reason. Totally fine while I'm on it though, bubbly and happy really so actually I would be worse off if I reached a point where I was unable to get my estrogen for whatever reason, I would not be a happy camper.

That's the biggest crock of garbage. Nobody is ridiculing Christian scientists. I certainly ridiculed their conclusions based on their agenda driven and sloppy "science" sure. But none of it had anything to do with them being Christians. This false "War on Christians " narrative constantly propagated on ATS is gettin a little old. It's the default method of deflection used whenever people aren't capable of or willing to discuss the science and prefer to push their personal motivations and feelings. I've yet to see you discuss what you feel the errors in methodology we're in the paper cited in the Time article, which I have provided a direct link to yesterday so that people could, you know, discuss the science. Nobody seems particularly interested in doing that though and all I see is religious persecution narratives. It's getting old and stale.

Really ? Nobody is ridiculing Christians ? Would you like me to go back and quote the posts ridiculing Christians and Christianity , especially when it may be Christianity that prevents people from fully accepting transgendered as perfectly scientifically normal.

I'm not interested in scientific papers that could very well be bias ... and the fact that it was the medical community that felt the need to create how many genders ? .. and I'm supposed to trust nutjobs like that? 🙄

Take your scientific studies and your egotistical condescending mean attitude and stick it.

Your type don't scare me.. so quit with the bullying 😜

Your lack of awareness is astounding.

And... all this transgender nonsense is indeed unnatural, unhealthy, and seeks to undermine the natural order.

but exists in nature in humans so cant be unnatural

its unnatural to your mind and others because you have been conditioned to believe its not normal

unless of course you can provide evidence to suggest its been orchestrated then it is as natural as rock formation

What I meant was the study wasnt linked directly you had to travel elsewhere to get it !

which is a bit of a pain because it should be linked directly

that lancet link takes me here

www.thelancet.com...

I was advocating for making the links visible at the top instead of naming the links something else , just have them right at the top linked directly rather than having to go traffic through other sites.

I dont find it funny , I Just thought It would be beneficial to the arguement.

Fair enough, but I have posted the direct link several times, including in my earlier reply to you. But yes, it would've been better to have the direct link in the OP. I don't disagree with that at all. The conversation would have moved forward more smoothly were it in the OP

No worries man , every time I come from work there are pages upon pages added to the thread since I last posted and can be quite difficult to see when people reply directly , is there some sort of thing in my settings where I can just jump directly to responses to myself ?

thanks

I've been here since 2009 I should know this already hahaa

Yes, please do that

I'm not interested in scientific papers that could very well be bias

Of course you're not. It gets in the way of your ability to play both bigot and victim.

... and the fact that it was the medical community that felt the need to create how many genders ? .. and I'm supposed to trust nutjobs like that? 🙄

And yet you're whining about potential confirmation bias from others when you start off with it and refuse to accept that you could be wrong? What a joke. Your own confirmation bias is why you are referring op others as "nut jobs" and you're so blinded by self righteous indignation that you can see the forest for the trees

Take your scientific studies and your egotistical condescending mean attitude and stick it.

I hope you were looking in the mirror when you typed that because it applies far more to you than it does me.

Your type don't scare me.. so quit with the bullying 😜

Grow up. Nobody is bullying you OR your faith. If you think that your faith makes your ignorance and hatred acceptable then I feel for the congregation you are a part of because that's nothin that would have been taught in the church I grew up in. Hiding behind Bronze Age scripture to hustify willful ignorance makes you something antithetical to Christs own teachings. I'm not bullying you by pointing out facts when you hide behind opinions. You're a sad excuse for a follower of Christs teachings. And it's more egregious when you willfully ignore peer reviewed data and rely on one mans lies to support furthering your own ignorance laden agenda.

Actually yes, there is. And don't feel bad, it took me a few years to find this feature myself! If you click into your private messages, there a word bubble icon between the up and down arrow icons. The word bubble icon will pull up all replies to you. The up and down arrows are for your Im of and sent private messages. Hope that helps.
