Yes, blaming this on refugees is a lie and utter political drivel.

Those 61 "trouble zones" are zones with a majority of Muslim population in them... Claiming this has nothing to do with immigration is absurd when Sweden is already having problems even with second, and third generation Muslims living in these areas. Add to that an increase in more Muslim immigration and it means the problems keep increasing.

the fact that rapes are occuring and increasing is alarming to say the least

if the reported rapes are increasingly shown to be caused by immigrants then surely Sweden can just say NO more welcome

or are they bound by EU directive to allow a % into Sweden agreed by the EU government ?

there is no excuse for rapists , they should face the full punishment of the law and serve their time in their homeland and be extradited or exiled from europe and never allowed to return
if the EU is a community then an offense against one person is an offense against all
and you should be deported and never allowed to set foot in europe again , if you cant be a productive lawful member of society then you dont belong here.

PublicOpinion also found the english interview from Eliasson where he SPECIFICALLY says migrants are not the cause of the issues, but decades of mis-development.

For crying out loud! Sweden is not on the brink of civil war! It is not as bad as these crappy "journalists" are claiming it to be, nowhere near it. It's media hype over nothing. Let's put it this way, on a scale of 1-10 on how dangerous this situation is I'm going to rate it a 2 maybe 3 but that's pushing it far mostly due to our economy

First, I posted both sides of the arguments. There are people in Venezuela who still say "it's not that bad" meanwhile most of the population are suffering... In any nation going through problems you will always find people saying "it's not that bad" meanwhile the rest of the population are sufering.

Second of all, how many times does it have to be pointed out that these areas the Police chief is referring to are majority Muslim areas?... The only ones lying are you, and anyone else who wants to claim "this has nothing to do with immigration"... A year ago there were 55 of these Muslim majority areas, now there are 61 areas and they have increased in size due to what exactly?... More Muslims immigrants entering Sweden...

Use Video and pictures when you do. But remember, most places always keep the tourist /rich areas nice , clean and presentable. You will have to go outside of that area to get the real truth.

It's blowing it way way way out of proportion... What the police chief said was a call for collaboration with other government agencies + wanting more police officers hired in order to address the situation properly. I fail to see how that is on the brink of civil war, sorry. This was from a report, not a speach aimed directly to the Swedish people/the world.

Its pretty obvious there are two groups on this subject very opposed in perspective.

I could take you on a drive through part of Chicago right now where you would likely foul your britches just for being there. Ten minutes later I would have you in a place full of people who would say, "I have never seen anyone get shot and I don't know any one who has. Chicago isn't that bad. If it was, why would I live here?"

I can't say with absolute certainty what the real story is. But I know all versions of this story have roots in truth. We can choose which version is our truth and deny the others, or, we can consider that each is at least party true based on individual experience and perception. Ask the man in Sweden who has had no issues with immigrants and he will likely tell you its all exaggeration. Ask the woman who was raped and I am fairly certain she will have a different opinion...
