The incident is being sensationalized by theantediluvian even more because he's a clown.

That's it! Enough is enough!

I'll ask you too

When was the first time someone died from having an unloaded gun pointed at them?

Or even injured.

Was it unloaded? Was the firearm cleared? Whom cleared it?

Another rule of firearm safety is to make sure it's clean before your "show it off". Even then, you NEVER point it at anyone. Have you never taken a tact course or even a basic firearm trainer?

Hell, have you even looked up firearm safety on youtube? You never point a firearm at a person unless you intend to shoot them in self-defense.

But here is a link to show you what happens when idiots think like that...www.wbtv.com...

Well my point was this is a non-story and a typical Anti thread involving political drama this time hating on Fox News, or specifically Hannity.

Most people that say they thought it wasn't loaded typically are not trained in gun safety. Those that are and take gun safety serious ALWAYS check before doing anything like this.

The people defending Hannity for pointing a gun at anyone, have no business owning a gun. You are doing the 2nd amendment and us responsible gun owners a disservice.

Im sure Hannity had permission and it was unloaded in that case...

The 1st Law:
The Gun Is Always Loaded

2nd Law:
Never point the gun at something you are not prepared to destroy.

Huh?
Who says a gun is always loaded?

Really? I'm not a gun-type, and even I know that!

Are Canadians allowed to own guns?

Yes.

Are you sure?
We sleep better at night believing that Canadians not allowed to have guns.

OK, sleep tight then, Snookums.

I have a water pistol. I have to be careful who I point it at. (People will take those things away from you, and use them against you. This, I learned the hard way.)

After my friend almost shot me on a vacation in the Grand Canyon I took a handful of safety courses. I made the same dumb mistakes in the past that almost got me shot. Personally? I would never point a gun at someone unless I intended to use it, but that doesn't mean that if I decided to do such a thing I would be lackadaisical about it. I would absolutely make sure no clip was in and no round was in the chamber. Kinda common sense when you get the training.

Last year and it did not make the news cycle?? maybe Juan should have got up, leave the studio come back with his 9 and put a couple into Shawn for threatening him.

Do you understand the term never?

You never, ever...ever point a firearm at someone unless your intent is to kill them to protect your life and the lives of others.

It's hard enough trying to protect our 2nd amendment rights as it is. As I have been saying for years, it is the pro-2nd pretenders that are the biggest threat to our right because while they claim to stand for it...they understand very little about the responsibility.

Did you read my post? It included the word 'never' preceded by I would.

Just to be clear, if Hannity did indeed point a firearm at Juan or anybody for that matter, whether it was loaded or not, in doing so he violated a fundamental safety protocol.

Some might say that's grounds for license revocation. I'm not sure what NYC's standard procedure is, obviously.

You also said this:

There should never be a "but".

We have to take our rights seriously.

Edit:

Also, "clips" are rarely used anymore, unless you have a very old rifle.

Yeah, but then it is followed by "if I decided to do such a thing..." which pretty much cancels the never part.

I heard some people talking today about the relatively 'sick' culture at Fox the people work in. All the sexual harassment suits, and firings. That place is in a mess.

Anybody knows better than to point a gun at someone.

It was a hypothetical. Have you 2 never heard of that?

Yes Hannity is a dumbass for doing it, that doesn't mean he is untrained in guns. It also doesn't merit a sensational headline meant to stir up emotions, which this thread has.

Does not help protect our rights when a dumbass with training does something as stupid as that.

That's for sure.

If he flipped on the laser sight and pointed it at Williams, it would seem to me, somebody who hasn't had training in firearm safety from the age of eleven, that he was violating the very first rule of gun safety.

BWAAAAHAAHAA.

What does a light have to do with gun safety?

Is your last name Maddow.

Rule number 1: Never, ever, EVER point a gun at something you do not intend to shoot.

If you don't know this one, you shouldn't own a firearm until you understand it.

He shouldn't have done it, I absolutely agree. The clickbait title makes it seem like Hannity pulled a gun on a co-worker in a fit of rage. That's what I thought would be the case when I read the thread title. That didn't happen.

I tend to criticize tabloid threads because this board has integrity. This is a tabloid thread, something the OP is notorious for.

So yes, for the record I agree it was a dumb move, just like I think this thread is a garbage thread because of the title.

I am on the record saying that it isn't a big deal to me but it is to some.

I honestly just thought Ante was using the OP to show that even with all sides of a story presented and an easily identified opinion that people will still jump to conclusions.
