Hi folks,

Just a quick and very friendly reminder:

If you are making an entry, please make sure that it has YJA2017 in the title (so we know it's an entry for THIS contest) and post it as a new thread in the SHORT STORIES forum HERE

Then you can copy the Link location of your story post, by right clicking the "link" pin at the top of your story post and selecting "copy link location" before making a post here in the contest thread and providing us with that link to your story (by clicking the "insert a link" button at the top of the post and pasting in your Story Post link.)

(It's so that anyone browsing this contest thread, rather than Short Stories forum, can see your entry!!)

We don't want to miss out on reading any of the BRILLIANT entries!
So, Keep 'em coming! (there are over 30 entries so far!!)

If anyone's not quite sure about copying links etc - I'm happy to help!
Just fire me a PM or ask in thread and I'll sort it out.

Oh, and... GREAT Theme Augustus!

I've gotten stars and flags from the same four anonymous people so far. Is there fear?

edit:

After revisiting the OP I now see it does indeed behoove us all to post our short stories as soon as possible.

correct?

Aw Shred,
We are not hoof-ophobic here.
I'm pretty sure that you can be hooved or not!

...and You may post your entry any time you like, from contest launch to contest end (which in this case is Thurs 23rd March.)
There will be one week of reading and voting thereafter, so that everyone has a chance to read (and rate) as many of the stories as they'd like.

kindest regards,
Gordi

Question - Why are some entries made into stickies and others are not??

Seems like if you're going to make some stickies then they all should be stickied, or don't sticky any of them at all.

At first I thought it was just due to them being recent, but there's a number which are several days old (or more) and still aren't stickied.

Gordi only stickies the ones he really, really likes and lets the others languish in a purgatory of his own creation because he is the mean bull hack of our little writing prison.

True story that.

Alas, I am not yet imbued with the powers or skills necessary to stickie the entries.
Our wonderful Moderator tothetenth stickies all of the entries that he can find.
There is always the chance that one or two might escape the net... if you see any... please let him know!
Either here in the thread, or better still by PM, and I'm sure he will Stickie those wayward types ASAP!

kindest regards,
Gordi
