First thread.

What's everyone's general thoughts on bumping your own threads? This is my first actual entry into a contest, and it seems since the event will be going on for almost a month that some of the threads may be left in the dust due to non exposure over such a long period of time. (Aside from a few real rock stars on here!)

I generally hate bumping my own threads, but in this case, I wonder if an exception could be made. Appreciate any feedback!

I typically do the same. You're not going to believe me due to the timing of all of this... But I read your thread and flagged it before I saw your response here, and literally seconds before you bumped my little story. LOL. Crazy stuff!!! You got this Jinmi!

ETA- Ok the timestamp says you bumped my thread 10 minutes before I posted in yours... But I SWEAR I didn't see it till after I posted in your thread. lol.

Hi Wookie! LTNS my friend.
Every entry to the short story contest gets "stickied" to the top of the Short Story forum (by our mod tenth), so that anyone browsing that forum will see all of the contest entries together at the top there (already automatically "bumped" as it were!!)
Each entry should also be linked with a post in this thread too, so that anyone following this contest thread itself (rather than browsing the short story forum) should also be able to find every single entry by working their way through the thread here.

In saying that, I personally think that's it's only right to answer (or at least acknowledge) any comments that people leave on your story thread anyway, and that would in turn "bump" your story in the Recent Posts area too!

Yup, March 23 is when the contest closes. And you have to link back to it in here with the "Writer" or "Non-writer" status declared (which ever one you currently are).

I did not start reading other's submissions until I finished... but that is me.

I have literelly been writing ideas and composing what I will call an extra rough draft non-stop since my last post........

Not saying that means anything good but I do feel that If I can articulate this jumble I have created on paper and in my mind in a quality form, It'll at least be readable.........or if things go wrong, I think I bought a long enough rope to hang myself with.............

and like six other dudes if anybody needs to do that.
